No NOA for Travel Document (AP)

So I got an NOA for both my AOS and EAD but not for AP. I got a biometrics appointment notice and it has under the 'Case Type' heading 'I-485, I-765' which is my AOS and EAD, but no I-131 for AP! I received a e-notification of receipt for the AP so I have a receipt number for it. I called the USCIS and the lady told me that as long as I have a receipt number for the AP it doesnt matter if I have a paper NOA and when I go for my biometrics appointment I should just tell them that the appointment is for a I-131 as well as I-485 and I-765.

Does that sound right? I'm a bit dubious.

Your NOA1 for the I-131 may just be lost in the mail, or just lost in the bureaucracy. It is good that you do have a receipt number for the I-131. The ASC biometrics appointment Form I-797c should refer to the I-485 and I-765. The I-131 will be included in your EAD/AP combo card. You should be okay to let them "capture" your biometrics (their term, not mine...lol).

I don't think I-131 requires biometrics. Even in the years past (before combo card), our biometric letter had two barcodes for reporting biometrics on AOS and EAD. AP was a letter size paper with one of the passport photos submitted on it. They actually sent two AP paper documents. The EAD card used the biometric photo. I think you are fine.

In addition to A&B's response, only I-485 and I-765 require biometrics. But EAD and AP will be processed in parallel, so no worries about that.

But NOAs normally do come in a batch (that is, if you have applied for AOS, EAD & AP all at the same time). Curious as well what happened to your AP NOA.

Thanks all. I'll take a print-out of my e-notification with the I-131 receipt number and a screen capture of the USCIS website Case Status to the biometrics appointment just in case.

The biometric letter will only list I-765 and I-485.

Biometric letters only list the case numbers for the I-485 and I-765 because those are the two forms that require biometrics. AP(I-131) does not. Your case is normal.

I'm scheduled to receive the EAD card today.... I'll let you know if it came in combo card EAD/AP!!!

My EAD is also approved and my AP hasn't changed. I think I've seen this happen to other people and they do get a combo card...at least I hope so!
