Need more details. You file for a K-1, correct? And the date of your filing was? WOuld seem to be Nov 11, 2013, Is that correct?

If the above is correct (the filing date) and you did not meet in person in the 2 years immediately preceeding filing then you did not meet the requirements and you will be denied.

Here are the three main requirements for an I-129F petition >

1) Both are free to marry at the time the petition is filed.

2) You have met in person, face-to-face at least once within the 2 years prior to filing the petition.

3) You both have the intent to marry in the US within 90 days of the foreign fiance(e) entering with a K-1 visa.

Your problem is #2. You were not together in person within the 2 years prior to filing. It does not matter how long you have known each other. You have no way to supply the evidence they are asking you for. You should have waited to file until after your visit in person in Dec. 2013. As stated by belinda63, you can withdraw your petition and refile using your latest visit to meet that requirement. Or, you can wait to be denied.

Umm, I'd be pissed if I found out my fiance screwed up the petition and then didn't tell me so we can get started on the new petition.

So ur gonna waste precious time letting this petition go through, then, when, It is denied after waiting and submitting all the paperwork you will have to cancel and refile anyway? Just so you don't have to break bad news to her? You need to get your self straight, withdraw and refile... Your current petition is invalid as you did not meet the basic requirements...

The requirement is that you have met in person, face to face in the 2 years prior to the filing of the application.

It would seem that you do not meet the requirement, and then will be denied; but, you say you did meet in early this year, so you could file another application and tihs time you are meeting the requirement.

I'd withdraw the existing one immediately and start a new one. No point to let the procewss go through, you will still have to start over. The sooner you do it, the better

Other than some $$ spent, no harm.

A few months delay in the big picture (you know each other since 5) should not be a big issue. At least, you have the possibility of visits since it's not very far to get there.

And I'd tell her...not a good idea to start a long term relationship hiding things. She'll be pist, but it'll pass.

It doesn't matter. If you do not meet the requirements for the petition, you will be denied.

You have several choices.

1. Ignore the RFE and have your petition denied in about 87 days.

2. Respond to the RFE without the proper information and have your petition denied in about 87 days.

3. Withdraw the petition and start over.

(87 days is based upon the standard time given to respond to and RFE, it may be different in this specific case)

As you can see, the only way to have the petition approved is by filing a new one. Now if you wish to waste another two or three months before re-filing that is your choice.
