I've noticed alot of 2nd NOA's being approved within 2 months on Igor's list. Most of them submitted from Febuary to early May.

Did the speed just get faster? I remember last year when I got my first NOA in May 28, it took until Oct 8 just to get an RFE and 10/25 to get the 2nd NOA.

Anyone applied recently...what's your times looking like?

Just found out my NOA2 approved Oct 25, 2013 is still good. Was automatically extended by the embassy until one year of the last date of notification which is Dec 3, 2013. It's a race now.

Yup!

I remember doing my K1 in 2007, it took 4 months before we received our NOA2 from NOA1's date.

This may have something to do with USCIS help they extended to the Philippines due to typhoon Yolanda.

Here is the info about that:

The speed varies. I know someone that works at VSC. they said a lot of times, K-1's build up and then they shift lot's of people to clear the backlog. You will see cycles where CSC is way faster and then you see cycles where VSC is faster.

dear God that's fast.

I hope there's a more detailed definition of Multiple Filer that we don't know about. My immigration consultant said even though I filed for my first one less than two years ago, she never went to the interview or never pursued a visa so I'm not a multiple filer. But if I am, I have to request the extraordinary waiver...and I don't know anyone here that's gone through that and their outcome. My DV charge was expunged 14 years ago, got a good job, honorable discharge military, 1 bs , 2x mba's since then, and even became ordained. So with that, hopefully it gets approved, but i still hate to go through that. it'll be alot of sweating more than i am right now.

When you filed your petition near the end of the form it does ask you about your criminal background and you must state any past problem even if its expunged. When it comes to the gov't nothing is expunged and they will still see it. So I hope you answer those questions correctly. They will then determined whether enough time has past without any other incidents if that's good enough to approve. I don't know what the criteria they go by but being truthful is the key :)

It was 13 days for me to NOA2. But the downfall was that it took me over 5 weeks at NVC to get the case number.

2 to 4 weeks without RFE's

It took us 51 days, with 13 days to address an RFE *sigh*, to receive NOA2 from USCIS through CSC. Then 10 days for case to reach NVC. Now we are just waiting there. But, from what I understand, even with fast processing times at USCIS, there still may be difficulty in getting an appt at USEM quickly.

When I did mine, USCIS took the longest. After the petition was approved, everything else went by fast from the NVC to the the Embassy. Today, the delay starts at the NVC. But generally, I see faster turnaround lately.

What's the appointment system looking like? I remember back in Nov 2013, there was nothing open until late January or February. Has it gotten better?

Just found out my NOA2 approved Oct 25, 2013 is still good. Was automatically extended by the embassy until one year of the last date of notification which is Dec 3, 2013. It's a race now.
