I was lucky enough to camp out in Monument Valley once, have never seen so many stars or such a beautiful sunrise. My wife the USC hasn't even been so would love to go back with her :)

If I tell you then people will overcrowd them :)

but Detroit is better than say, Trenton.

Don't knock it 'till you've tried it.

Boston is a pretty special place for me. But maybe that's because it was when me and my (now) fiancé decided we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.

San Diego is also a really cool place. It has such a nice atmosphere to it.

One place I was so disappointed in was Cape Cod. It's so ridiculously expensive.

Out of everywhere we've been so far, hubby likes the Florida Keys the best. I can't wait to take him to MY favorite places - Portland, OR and San Diego. :)

Another Boston filer :)

We spent our first vacation on Cape Cod, it was nice but agreed there are better value destinations out there!

Sorry to disappoint you but I'm actually a Chicago filer :) (well actually I'm Scottish but moving to Chicago)

My parents visited me and my fiancé last summer and we went to Cape Cod on vacation with them. It's really scenic & pretty don't get me wrong, & the whale watching was special, but it just didn't do it for me on the whole.

Boston however was excellent. Such a nice compact city that we could walk freely in.

We are going to Hilton Head for our honeymoon this summer!

NYC (Broadway) and San Antonio, TX (Riverwalk). I have returned to those places many times and always have a good time. Not scenic places, but have a good vibe for knocking around. I feel the same way about London. Maybe it's the familiarity when you are past all the tourist things, know your way around, and can just slow down to enjoy the city and culture.

Thank you Hotter Otter for starting a refreshing thread. I am yet to get out there and explore all the many wonderful states of America. At the moment I live in North Mississippi on the delta bluff and I have to say I feel blessed to live in such a beautiful place. So much open space, fields, nature, wildlife, and of course the Mississippi River on my doorstep. But there are so many places I would love to go... New York!!! I want to sip a cosmopolitan in a cocktail bar like Carrie Bradshaw LOL!! I want to go to Alaska to visit my in-laws. I want to get on a plane to Hawaii without the need of a passport and brag about it on FB for all my UK family and friends to see (giggle!!!)
