Of course you can assuming you meet all other N400 requirements (3 years of marriage, 3 years - 90 days of permanent residency).

Answer above is incorrect and makes zero sense.

I agree about the nonsense comment. So if it's time to file for citizenship and you still haven't received the 10 yr card, will they give you another extension letter?

Thank you for quick response.

3 years will be in jun since I married. It's first marriage based on k1 visa. He was in the us army for couple of years. So my question: I have to wait for 90 days more to file n400 and forget about 10 years GC? or count should be start 3 years and 90 days from first GC (2 years) issue date?

When did you get your 2 year GC? You can apply if you have also been a LPR for 3 years, not just having been married 3 years. You can't bypass ROC, but if your ROC is still pending and you are already eligible for n400, then you can apply. Hope that makes sense

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

You can apply 3 months before you complete the three years. My sister-in-law did it and she recently received her interview letter for July!

I thought if not married to a US citizen, an LPR needs to wait for 5 years?
