Hello,

My filipina fiancee and I scheduled her 6/2/2014 interview online for F-2 visa class by mistake (should be K-1 visa class) and we need to reschedule her interview for K-1 visa class.

We're not able to reschedule her K-1 visa interview online because it won't let us use the same MRV Receipt number.

I've emailed ivmanilareplies@state.gov (correct email? It was given to me when I called their office) and it says the response time would be within 7 working days.

Her medical was completed 5/17/14 (supposed to be within 7 to 30 days of the interview?)

Any suggestions on how we can help this process along. Phone numbers or different emails?

Should I just pay the $240 again for K-1 visa interview or wait for them to hopefully re-assign the payment from F-2 to K-1 class visa?

Thanks for any help you can give us, this is a great forum.

We're most worried about the interview and medical timelines.

Her medical was completed 5/19/14, does this mean her interview has to be rescheduled by 6/19/14 (supposed to be within 7 to 30 days of interview?) or she'll have to do her medical again?

If her medical will still be good then we can relax.

The "7 - 30 days" is only a suggestion, not a requirement. Relax... all is fine. Medical is good for 6 months.

Do be aware that the visa validity is tied to the date of the medical, so if you do the medical a few months early the validity time frame for the visa will be much less than 6 months.

It seems they fixed it recently because it accepted the same MRV receipt number and allowed us to proceed but now it says"there are currently no appointments available".

A web search shows average wait time for appointment to become available is 7 days? We're checking regularly in the hopes of getting an interview appointment.

Glad you got it fixed. As for appointments it is taking MUCH longer then 7 days currently.

Stay logged into your dashboard, do NOT click to continue to the calendar, watch the left side of the screen for "first available appointment" to appear, if no date shows on the left side of the screen then there is NO calendar. Be persistent and patient.

Will it show up while you're logged in or do you have to refresh the home page?

Thanks,

Bruce

You will have to refresh the page, but use F5 otherwise you will refresh and eventually get the error message that too many attempts and the system will lock you out for 24 hours. F5 gives you unlimited refreshes (Thanks Hank for the heads up on this feature)

This was posted (I edited it somewhat for ease of reading) by someone else (see the post at the bottom of this page)

"I recommend using c4c (check4change at http://www.check4change.com/ ) with a refreshing window every 4 seconds from the dashboard using custom menu of c4c to nab an appointment that comes available. The software will check for any changes on the website for the time you choose to set. I used 4 seconds.

If you do not have Firefox installed you can get a copy here for free: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ Yes, install Firefox just to use c4c coz the add-on for Chrome and Internet Explore (IE) didn't really work that well. I tried them on a test website before using it grab a new date or for some any date, just to see how the add on works.

My laptop was on all night long every night for the last 4 nights, it got me up couple times but the dates didn't fit my scheduling. Soon as there is a change on the scheduling website the music will start and you can book it if you like the date. With this system the booking process is 10 seconds from the time a new date is available. Just push continue, the calendar will appear, select the date you want and click "schedule". And now you have a interview date scheduled."

Good luck.

c4c is asking to select text first before I can set a custom menu. Do you select the entire website or all of the blue menu on left?

Thanks
