I just got a checklist for my dad case that I didn't submit original petitioner birth certificate, original petitioner marriage certificate. I sent all these original docs in my mom's package, together will a copies of all these docs in my dad's package. Mom's & Dad's packages was included in the same envelope. I also wrote a letter to let NVC know that original docs are in my mom's package, and still get a check list. Please advice what i need to do.

This is not uncommon. I've seen other situations like this.

My best advise is to resubmit the documents. You could also call NVC and verify with them because I've seen "False Checklist" being sent also.

<p>I do see a lot of posts here asking "What's next?", so I thought I'd share the guide that I made for myself. Hope somebody will find this useful. Though I'd like recommending to anybody to follow the Wiki Guide as I find it very helpful myself. It provides more specific details that my guide does not cover. No need to send any of that for Affidavit of Support documents. Citizenship certificate is only required for the petition (i-130).

With that being said, I have to update this Guide again since I listed to submit the Citizenship certificate in the Civil Documents.

Please enlighten me. The wiki on NVC process mentioned that there is no need for the BIN, however, the DS-261 (choice of Agent) screen shot sample shows a field asking for the BIN. Is the BIN really needed or not? Please advise. Thanks.
