...Qat is illegal in the US, Europe and North Africa. But that does not mean it is not imported or grown. Funny to hear, but the qat cartels are huge and very similar to the drug cartels of Colombia and Italy. Qat is legal if it used in food preparation or teas.

Yemen government has put a tax on the qat, thinking it would bring down the number of users, but surprisely the number has increased not decreased.

Rahma: Yes, well shopping in Algerie was slightly different much more packed, no room for wondering but do love to search for bargains.

I will post some more pics of Algerie, Morrocco,Tunezia, Cyprus and Turkey that I later when I have some more time.

Great pics Henia, thanks for sharing. :)

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5
