You have to meet in person at least once within the 2 years prior to filing. If you file in August, then you will be ok. You have until Oct. 26, 2014 to file and have your petition accepted. If you file after that, then you would not meet the requirement.

It doesn't matter how you have known each other, as long as you can prove that you have met in person in the last two years you are good.

11 Feb 2014: Visa APPROVED!

Oh OK thanks! I met him in Oct 2012 and I do have my airline ticket however me and him became official one year later (10/2013) my pictures and msgs and calls with don't start till mid October of 2013 up till now. But we do have tons of emails and pics of all the times Ive been there. I visited again in January of this year, April and going back next month. I hope in we get approved :(

Then you can use the April or July 2014 date as well and you have 2 years from those dates within which to apply :) , so you're good. It isn't having met the 'first' time within the last 2 years, but the 'last' time within the last 2 years. It sounds like you have lots of evidence to satisfy that requirement so good luck.
