So I came here on a K1 visa, ive received my work permit and now Im waiting on an interview date for my AOS... my passport expires in 2016, and i obviously won't have my citizenship by then. What happens with the whole passport situation? Do I apply for another UK passport before the old one expires? Or how does the whole thing work if im gonna be a permanent resident? And when I get U.S citizenship, will I have a dual citizenship, both UK and USA?

Yes, you can have both US and UK citizenship concurrently.

What would happen if there was an emergency at home and you didn't have a valid passport to travel? Better to renew it in plenty of time to be on the safe side.
