Reason for Visit - Entering with B2 Visa During K1 process

I have read all the posts about entering with a different visa during the K1 process. I know that you can be scrutinized and maybe denied.

Has anyone done this.... and when asked the purpose for your visit, what did you say. If you told them to visit fiancee, was there a problem?

I don't want to lie but I don't want to draw attention to it either..... so looking for other's people experience when they entered the country.

1) Answer all questions honestly.

2) Do not volunteer information that isn't asked for.

3) Bring proof as to why you must return to your country of origin when your authorised period of stay expires.

Thanks for the comments, however I am looking for people that actually visited and how they answered when asked "what is the purpose of your visit".... and if they had any issues with their answer

Keny, I came to the US once while my K1 application was pending (December 2013) and didn't have any issues entering the country. I told the guy at Immigration that I was here to spend Christmas and NYE with my fiancé and his family, and even though I had brought my NOA 2 and the letter from the consulate with my interview date, the guy didn't ask to see anything. He also didn't ask for proof of ties to Brazil. POE was Atlanta btw.
