Good Day All!!

I am a Filipino and living here in US for 3 years now.My passport will expire in a couple months due to some complicated reasons I can't renew my passport.So my questions were:is it ok if I don't renew my passport for now? Will there be any problems if I want to renew my (soon) expired passport if I want to renew it in the right time? What are my consequences if my passport will expired? Will I should be allowed to renew it in the near future?

You don't have to renew your passport. You won't be able to travel internationally, but otherwise you don't need it. Do you have a Greencard? That is your proof of being allowed in the US.

As far as changes to renewing an expired v. non-expired passport, that is up to your country. I know in the US if your passport is over 5 years expired you can no longer do by mail renewal.

that is my problem I don't have my GC yet.Will be able to file it hopefully next year.And it is a long and complicated story why I do not have a GC.That is why I cant renew my passport coz the requirements are GC and ID's and I don't have those.And my passport will expire in a couple months makes me more worried.By the way,thank you for the response.Appreciated it

Next year for GC? That's an awfully long time to not be able to drive, work, travel...
