I'm trying to make this not the chick thread any more, and I can't think of much more manly than guns, except maybe boba.

When I went to Mr U's gig in Memphis back in December, I drank approximately 18 gallons (imperial) of PBR with no shame.

My husband's gotten in to this Laphroaig scotch, but I wonder if it's just because he likes to say the name to order it.

It also kind of tastes like mold and dirt. Eating mold and dirt is manly.

The very manly first Mr Maven loved Laphroaig. And yes, it does taste like dirt.

I got a former VJer a bottle for Christmas the other year. He thinks he is a manly man too, but I've heard him sing that song "Africa" by Toto.

When you are dancing onstage with the other band wives and girlfriends, swigging out of a bottle of Maker's Mark and spraying beer on a crowd that's trying to rip your boyfriend's clothes off, if it's beer, it's good. Except if it's Natty Light or Zima (maybe).

We have this annual camping trip. Back when we were young and dumb, there was a camp wide "beer game". The rules were, everyone brought beer that was combined into one cooler. When ready for a refill one would say "beer me". The closest person to the cooler would blindly pull from the cooler and you drank what you got. Obviously there were folks that would bring ####### beer for comedy relief. That how I became acquainted with such beers as steel reserve, black label, strohls (which isn't bad), and some beer from Milwaukee with a saw blade picture on the can. Started with an R or something.
