Well, considering that Asia is being stingy with the +1 inventory (bad Asia!), and that Steveklar has camelpies to sweep from the streets, and that Wacko is now singing "How Dry I Am, See Man," I shall exit till late nightfall (Many o'clock) tonight, c u man.

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

My abs hurt.

Why do my muscles hurt more on day 2 after the workout as opposed to the day right after?

I was once told it's because when you do rigorous exercise you make micro tears in your muscles which are then healed over, making your muscles grow with time. The soreness is your muscles healing, which doesn't really start to happen until 48 hrs after. Kind of like when you bump into something, or cut yourself, and the bruise or cut is more sore a few days later as opposed to immediately after. How true that is, I don't know, but it kinda makes sense.

Got word back from my dad's life insurance. Should come through within another week or so! I'll feel much better once we finally have it in our hands.

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.

She was afraid of the thunder.....

So, I only had 1 thing to do today. Pick up the aluminum tube for the boat.

1- go to dim sum, ran into cousin rick. Helped him find a safe locksmith, drop off safe door....

2- go to bank, get some cash for boat parts....

5- ran into citi exec friend, as we spoke, her daughter calls her. Locked out of house.

7- go to her house, lock is broken......

8- drop off citi exec daughter back at bank. Get tools to fix door.

9- pick up exec and daughter, go to their house, spend an hour opening lock.

10- one last effort to go to boat part store....

11- get call from cousin, got into collision. Please come.

12- show up at accident, all taken care of. Pours rain again

19- soaked head to toe, again....

20- now got done taking shower.

23- shall now attempt to go to dinner with Tiff, daughter, and Part 4......(the part 4 in NY, not the VJ part 4)

Oh 29- no boat part....

And 30- still raining goats and camels, now llamas are coming down too....

i don't think the house is worth more than we offered.... but it's under asking price...

On the positive side my brother and his fiancee had a baby girl. YAY my mom let me know since he still doesn't speak to me.
