so my MIL saw my serger in the sewing room when she came over for dinner and wants one now, since i said i personally can't imagine sewing without one. trouble is, i don't know how to tell her that she really doesn't need a serger for the kind of sewing she does (quilting, some basic mends and alterations) without offending her. the more i try to explain, the more i sound like i'm being a debbie downer. i've tried asking her to come to a lesson at the dealer's with me first, and also to try out some other models that are easier to thread, but i think she's got her heart set on it. i hope she doesn't spend the money then regret it and blame me. :(

but but - I've an idea that she's tired of quilting and wants to start making dresses.

AC/DC is kinda gay. you lose.

Man it's no gayer than your Durango!

Real men drive an F 1 fiddy, or 2 fiddy. Just ask Stretch's hubs.

Did I ever tell you guys I have an industrial sewing machine in my garage for my boat canvas?

Man I'm telling you guys, everyday I wake up.....and I'm like....why am I going to work?

Maybe it's a sign that it's time to bail?

it's a sign you should sleep on the boat this summer and handle all office stuff remotely from there ;)

what are you out of? I hear those communist countries have a hard time keeping things in stock in the comrade store.

Out of this thread

TMI lady stuff here, but I went for my first follicle check and even the lowest dose of femara has given me three, maybe four follicles to trigger, maybe on Friday? My fertility doctor said there was probably two explanations for why clomid sucked so bad for me - either I don't normally ovulate ( which I do) or I was getting way too many eggs (which it appears to be since femara makes less than clomid).

TLDR : my ovaries hurt and we've got a high chance of twins and a small chance of triplets if it works according to the doc.

I am not optimistic though.

10 pounds down in the last 4 weeks.....wheeeee.

Fingers crossed!

And congratulations! :)

F 1 fiddy equals pickup, not SUV. The 2004 Durango is a full sized, 8 cylinder, gas hog, towing monster, SUV, not the mom vehicle they turned the brand into. I prefered to keep my scuba gear protected from the elements better than you can do with a pickup, even with a topper.

1- don't care don't care.....

2- man I'm not sewing canvas for a living. I might actually have to work.....

4- the reason I bought my own machine is because these guys charge an arm and a leg. That even with the cost of the machine (which is like 2 grand) I still save in the long run.

8- man I really feel like bailing......
