Do you guys have any idea how difficult it is to find a 7/8 inch OD marine grade aluminum hollow tube 20 feet long, to bend a bow for a bimini top?

Pretty simple actually

Somebody is a new homeowner. Guess who?

Congrats, I hope we've got pictures here somewhere.

And we'll keep keeping our fingers crossed for you! :)

And... I'm off! :)

First day at work after vacation is crazy!

That's what you get for taking time off!

Yes, I found my neighbor's body after a long while. His cats had ate him. Police officer threw up. It was a magical day.

Wheeee, exciting!

I look forward to the day, someone finds my month's old corpse half eaten by my dogs.

My brother and school age best friend both went that way, minus the animals eating the bodies.

so, something creepy happened today. i was cooking in the kitchen and heard a key turn and the front door open. if you saw our apartment layout when i linked it last, the kitchen is really near to the front door, connected by a tiny 9 by 9 dining area. at first i thought, j's home early...like 3 hours early! then i looked up and saw a stranger inside our apartment.

i think he might have been hearing impaired because his enunciation was a little off and he kept repeating his question even after i answered (he kept asking "repair...where's your father?" and i kept replying "my father doesn't live here...i think you have the wrong house.") finally he seemed to understand what i was saying and pointed to the units behind us and sort of gestured that he would try there, and left. he was inside the house, with his hand on the front door, for like 3 minutes.

i am now really freaked out and don't want to be alone at home tomorrow. j says he will call the management office to get the locks changed and possibly install a deadbolt/chain thing. the whole thing is so weird - why did he have a key, why is he asking for my father (?!), how did he get the unit number wrong if he really was there to do repairs...i didn't recognise the guy as one of the two usual maintenance guys who work for the apartment complex but we will also check if he's a new staff, just in case.

Wow, that is scary. Those complexes have master keys that open all doors for the caretakers. This might be nothing more than a repair given the key and misheard the unit number. I think they better start writing it out for him, or get another person to do repairs. Or he's some no good that got ahold of one of master keys.

I wonder what J is doing in Vermont right now....

Alone...

In the middle of the woods....

With no electricity...

in a one room cabin....

With her FIL...

Whom has a fat old wife....

And a useless son....

J might be getting her freak on with her FIL.

I remember a posting quite a while back, may not have been on VJ, but a filipina was doing her FIL while her husband was deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan, I forget which. Came on a K-1 and didn't adjust status yet, and wanted to know how to divorce the husband, marry the FIL and get her green card. A complete shaking your head moment.

My dog has died in our bedroom

I'm so sorry for you. At least he got to live his second life with people who loved him and pass away in the home. He'll be waiting at the rainbow bridge for you.

Got myself seriously in the dog house with my wife this weekend. We went to Mall of America. My wife said why don't you go sit on one of the benches in the public area of the mall. I said, ok, left the store, walked down to them, only to find them filled up again. I returned to the happy spouse running around looking for things to buy, told her they're all full, but I'd check later. About 10 minutes of watching the wife flit about, she still hasn't picked up anything to try yet, and I walked out of the store to see one of the benches was now open. I went at sat down, popped open my phone and started reading the book I've been reading when a nap attack took hold of me. I managed to put my phone in my pocket, thinking I'd just close my eyes for a few minutes. 30 minutes later I wake up to many messages on the phone from the wife, last was about 10 minutes earlier. When I finally found her in the mall, she wasn't taking my calls, she said lets go home and didn't speak to me again until Sunday evening. Man that woman can get pissed off.

That is something I found weird here, that ppl left the appliances.

Anything that is attached to the property by means of a tool, is a part of the real estate, and is a part of the sale, unless otherwise stated in the contract. If a range is gas, and you needed a wrench to install it, it's a part of the real estate. If it's electric, and you just had to plug it in, it's not a part of the real estate. If you bolted a chair to the floor, it's a part of the real estate.

This is especially important for commercial real estate rentals and sales. When a business vacates a premise, they can't wreck the place tearing their stuff out....

Please be careful and don't hesitate to call 911.

Trivia....why isn't the emergency # "911" in Poland?

Because they can't find the number "11" on their phones.....

That makes sense, they do that in Canada but I don't think with the stoves gas or not at least I've never heard of it. Oh If I put safety anchors on the book shelves and dressers does that count the same way?

Standard freight. It's 20 ft long.

I found it in a local place that'll get it to me for a hundred bucks.
