Merry, I'm so sorry! :( Losing a pet can be so hard. At least be comforted by the fact that he died in the comforts of home, with the people he loved.

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.

I am wondering if I no longer smell the pungent odor of cat urine because I have been in the house a couple of hours or because I have been cleaning and running an air filter.

So... we had to redo our offer on the house. I guess they had one for full asking price in cash. Can only hope now and keep looking. It's hard to go against all cash.

Nlr - not that hard if you come in higher and maybe your REA mentions to theirs what a nice couple you are and how this your first house, etc.

Sometimes sellers take it into consideration, but money always talks. What is your game plan? Are you in love with the house?

We offered higher than initially. Our realtor is a nice guy so I'm sure he put in a good word. This home is in the perfect location for us. We'd likely be in it for the next 10-15 years. It even has a craft room. Just a little room that has a bright window, facing the backyard, with a desk and shelves already. Hubs wants it for me so I'll do more art and the booger will have a place to keep all her art stuff too.

They have until Monday night to let us know (they wanted more time than the initial 24 hours, so we gave them 72.) All I can do is hope. 59dcc52c4f5d909c9895fa64c60e2de9.gif

We've offered as high as the realtor thinks it's worth. Considering he's steered us away from some major problems in homes we've seen (why do you have to put a bucket load of putty on a corner or patch up huge spots in the wall?), I really do think he's trying his best for us. I found him randomly by messaging through the remax site and I'd totally recommend him to anyone!

Some owners (especially old folks) care about who they sell the house to.

The old owners used to rent it out, and decided they didn't want to deal with that anymore and put it on the market. I haven't googled them yet. LOL Trying to NOT be too creepy.

Googled the house though.. they bought it in 2011 for 149k.

Who knows, maybe they'll take pity since I'm Canadian and they had a Canadian flag in the garage. LOL! Stranger things have happened in life.

A house is worth what you're willing to pay for it.

Also please remember, unless you have a "buyers agent", the agent works for the seller.

Yes this is our buyer's agent. It's not the seller's agent.
