We looked at two. Major improvement from yesterday. I guess one we looked at yesterday had multiple offers on it and it wasn't that nice of a home (and very far from hubs work.)

First one needed more work (had a fantastic fridge tho.. LOL) but had a larger yard and the bathroom upstairs was done. The layout downstairs was odd but it has a walk out basement, big tree, close to the reservoir (not flooding close), close to my husband's co-worker (like 4 houses down.) Just needed paint, removal of a wall, a few other little fixes, I think. Obviously a home inspection is needed, but then pretty much every home needs one now a days.

The second I liked but it was already done and had and odd layout upstairs (the stairs went down the middle between the kitchen and living room.) I think the neighbourhood is a touch nicer, BUT it's further from both the reservoir we wanted to be close to and further away from work, and it was more expensive. The main drawback for us was the neighbours looking down on us. I wasn't keen on a few things but the home showed better overall. That is what hubs didn't like, it seemed prissy and finished to him, not homely enough.

So we're keeping an ear on the one while making an offer on the other.

I'll show you guys if we get it. But for now, I'm going to fall asleep.

Nola you'll have to give us an idea of yer new home! :) I bet you are all excited to move out of your moms! OMG I would be.

Haven't seen TML on here for a bit to see how she is faring with living with the parents.

I feel so sad today. My dog is not feeling well so I took him to the vet. After running

Blood tests and xrays, he is diagnosed with a tumor near his spleen area.

Same case like my previous dog.

After discussing with the vet, we decided to take him home with medicine to

lessen his pain, giving him a fighting chance to feel a little better and live longer?

Now, my dog is lying beside my bed panting hard. I feel so bad for him and traumatized

myself hearing him panting so much. Seem like euthanizing the dog is inevitable this weekend :(

I have crying a lot. I know the day will come sooner when we adopted him from the rescue at the age of 6++

He is not the perfect dog, in fact more of the pain in the ### - separation anxiety, waking me up few times

almost every night to go outside for the last 3.5 years, peeing on the carpet.

Hubs said we have already given him a chance of a good home by adopting him.

I should take comfort from that but I still feel the pain and heartache inside me.

I don't think I would want another dog in the near future. I can't deal with my dog dying.

Door was open.... I had this terrible feeling after we returned home from a long vacation, I just couldn't stop staring at his house and was sitting at the junction between our two houses feeling this strong pull. So I went down to check.

Wow!

Seagoing Marklars sometimes do that, to get an early start on cleaning and avoid the wife-units.... It's fun !

Yeah, I know people who do that!

Good Luck Niki sounds exciting!

Our house is a weird design, it's square only one floor and sound travels very weird too. She needs a lot of work, not sure why hubby bought a fixer since hes not a handy man. No wait that is why he bought a fixer he has no clue what he's in for :P

I stayed in a hotel last night because the room was so nice, a boutique hotel for not a boutique price? Sign me up.

Apparently, according to old owners, the rumor mill about our arrival is already in full force. LOL!

The house needs a really good cleaning and the basement flooded in the past 3 weeks because the town shut off power due to a gas leak and never turned it back on. /facepalm

The woman who they rented to last year, who was supposed to buy the house, did a real number on it so I get why the old owner just didn't have the energy to fix/clean everything she had done in a year. Every room of the house needs a proper restoration back to its 1917 glory, but we will get there. Since I'm leaving on Tuesday, I am just going to tackle the cleaning, a little bit of painting, and some measurements.

Good luck with the house Niki!

This is how it went with my adopted dog too. It was very sad we only got to spend 2 years together, but she was happy.

*hugs* I am so sorry Merrytooth.

Toofies - I am sorry about your dog.... I know the pain is fresh - but suggest you volunteer at a dog shelter later - some transition for you.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
