Friday-morn GSs were disappointing, sigh man. At first one, got a nearly full box of standard staples, a staple-puller, and a pack of receipt envelopes for Many cents (= half a buck). The next Many sales were busts, sigh man. Therefore, total expenditure = Many cents, $i man.

Was prepared to mow lawn this eve, but as I drove up in the T-B.-mobile, Mrs. T-B. was pulling the Mrs.-T-B.-mobile out of the garage. Upon inquiry, it turned out that she was taking Mini-B. to the nearby lake to feed the ducks... and he thought that I had come home just in time to join them.

I off-ripped the tie (Italian silk, purchased for no more than $1) and hopped into the Mrs.-T-B.-mobile, immediately regretting same because of Mrs. T-B.'s penchant for driving at 0 mph or less while constantly pumping the brake.

Made it to lake; several quiet ducks and loud geese approached. Mini-B. happily fed them the half-loaf of the only bread that we had (= completely fresh); the good news was that this half-loaf was better than none. The fowl lost interest when they deduced that we were out of comestibles, so we went home, with Mrs. T-B. "driving" as aforementioned and with each of us trying to wrest the air-conditioning control knobs out of the other's hands.

Got to the casa, outside of which in the driveway Mrs. T-B. stopped the Mrs.-T-B.-mobile. "Let's celebrate Father's Day tonight," she said. "I don't want to cook anything." After weary argument that only one involved party was bound to win, Mrs. T-B. entered the casa and returned with nearly-expired restaurant coupons. We settled on a Mexican place, for the anemic reward of "order one entree, get a second of equal or lesser cost at half-price," sigh man. However, that coupon expired tomorrow, so using it was a must, see man.

We dined heartily, at first on Cheap and red & green salsa, and then on the entrees. We then walked to the Petco, where Mini-B. admired the fishies, the hamsters, the mousies, the ferrets, and the guinea pigs. Mrs. T-B. was prevented by me from buying a guinea pig "as a pet for Mini-B." because in Ecu, they = dinner.

It was pitch-black when we returned to the casa. Upon my entry, the thermostat said Many degrees F. (75), meaning that it was Many degrees F. (80 or more) upstairs. I turned on all the ceiling fans full-blast and the Many-inch (16") floor fan in the bathroom. Managed to off-peel the once-splendid sartorial accountrements and then lie under the ceiling fan. Mrs. T-B. volunteered Daddy to read a book to Mini-B., who wanted Many books read. Mini-B. then noted -- out of the blue yet with complete accuracy -- that stink-bugs were prohibited in the casa. It was then that Mrs. T-B. propitiously showed up with Mini-B.'s milk, and Daddy could go watch (doze off during) the late TV news, see and zzz man.

And it is highly unclear that Anyone will be permitted to slip out for GSs on Saturday morn -- the efficient and compact route, readily enabling return in ample time for chauffeuring Mini-B. to his swimming class, notwithstanding, no and sigh man.
