Is he charging you points? Look for a 0 point mortgage.

I don't think so.

Why is this more complicated than in Canada?

I notice the property taxes are significantly less down here however.

And, are you guys what is known as a "prime borrower"?

Do a search with bankrate.com

So why in CO springs can you get 3.625 and up here you can't?

And yes, he is.

Because we are the epitome of the market economy :). (Rip off)

That's where I said earlier, add 1.25 to 1.5 to the money factor. In your region, they added 1.5, in CO springs, they added 1.25. It has a lot to do with supply and demand, forecast of return, avg credit score for the region, price of homes, etc....

Homes are more expensive here and it's a sellers market with the houses under 225k going like hotcakes. I dunno if we're going to get the house we're looking at tomorrow, it's likely too expensive, but we can look and see. I love the big yard mostly. :) It already has veggie gardens! :D

And as you can see in the forecast, the lending rates are likely gonna go down another .15% between now and October. Historically tho.....October has always been the high point of the year.

Well who knows how long it takes to find a house. We did find out it takes about a month to close on a house. But you have to give our place 60 days notice. bastards.

anyhow.. save the rest for a PM tho. Since i'm sure this is really uninteresting to others.

I hope you get yourself a nice home to call your own soon. Also keep in mind that if you have less than 20% down! they may mandate that you buy PMI. Private mortgage insurance....but that's not expensive for a 200k loan! maybe 80-100 bucks....

I can't get a tattoo now. We has no money. /sigh

I can't visit with hubs while he's in OKC until after booger is here. /sigh

That depends on if we find a house too. /sigh

But on the positive side my FIL has said he wants to visit. But after the booger is gone. So.... that'll be interesting. First member of my husband's family I'll have met IN PERSON.
