I now feel extremely ashamed of my built for one fridge....

I don't mind smaller fridges, right now with 4 people in the house we have the old standard size fridge

DD17ClosedLG.jpg That has more than enough space for all of us. We had an apartment sized fridge in Denmark and that was fine for 3. Our new house has this newer monstrosity and by the time we got around to eating everything in it, probably 40% would be spoiled. It is just a silly waste of space for us, but maybe worked better for the old owners, who had 3 kids.

If you eat only fresh food I don't see the need for a great big fridge.

On the other hand my grocery bills are astronomical as I only eat fresh produce ( no garden to grow stuff for cheap)

I miss turning on the tap and having cold water come out.

Especially now that me and hubby are running 3 times a week.

Warm water just doesn’t cut it.

There's probably only a couple of us old guys that remember this

warm water is better for you though. Cold water is a shock to the system. Although a cold glass of water feels great when you're burning up.

Eating fresh fruit and veggies takes more fridge space, unless you're shopping every day.

Run out of plus 1s.

Never seen the show but have heard about it through cultural refs.

( I have dated many older men hence have had to google / research lots of stuff to keep up with the conversations;))

It probably has a lot to do with the way we eat - we don't really need room for juice or more than one milk. Right now our fridge is about 50% full and we just went grocery shopping. Freezer is a little more full, but I find if you fill it up too much, you lose track of stuff at the back.

Depends on how you are getting to the food market and how much your are spending. Most of the extreme budgeting books here recommend trying to shop like every two weeks. Sometimes I can make once a week, but I don't like frozen meat.
