woo you guys i finally feel like i'm making progress in driving class. we went through some busy intersections and major roads today and i finally started driving at 30mph (instead of 15-18mph). the car makes a huge difference, the previous one had a lot of resistance in the steering wheel and the brake wasn't as responsive so i was really nervous about going too fast.

i never thought i would say this but...i think i like driving!

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

oh and update on the family reunion:

honestly, i wanted to have fun there, i wanted to meet his family, but i don't think j was particularly interested in me getting to know them. he said that after today, we probably wouldn't see any of them ever again with the exception of his dad, his sister and her kids. he couldn't tell me any of their names because he didn't know them himself, he couldn't remember who was who, so mostly we stood around with his dad. i do understand that we have family obligations, so, that's fine, i'm glad we went. i totally get why his mom doesn't go to these things, though.
