Sorry if I sound heartless.. but please remember to take all the ROC evidence with you when you leave.

It will also be best if you could get your FIL to write a notarized letter stating you have been staying with hubs in his house from XXX to XXX.

Always be well-prepared than be sorry later on, don't put your legal status, new career in jeopardy when comes to ROC time.

thank you. It feels crappy but yes I need to do that. That notarized letter hmmm.....I gotta research, FIL will sign it I just dunno.....ok...will look into it.

jada, notarized letters are pretty easy to do. UPS will notarize a letter, but remember all that does is say he signed it, not that what is in it is correct.

No there is, because when you don't have a lot of evidence, any evidence is better than none! But a sworn oath is better.

You need to show proof that you and hubs lived together as married couple:

1) house mortgage or rental lease

2) driver license or state id from both of you showing the same address

You don't have 1) and probably no 2) either. So having FIL writing the letter will help you.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

1) If he is moving in and you decided not to do ROC on your own.

2) Your greencard does not have an address printed on it, so no.

3) Only way around this is potentially shared bank accounts, shared insurance/ownership, affidavits, and mail addressed to the same place, but it is iffy.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

I found ROC RFEs asking for driver license or ids, like this below:

Blue sheet I-797E NOA Request For Evidence

Attached sheet has boilerplate stating foreign documents must be translated into english by cert translator, failure to respond my result in term of status, then:

IDENTITY DOCUMENT: Submit legible copies of the conditional permanent resident and petitioning spouse's driver's licenses and or identity cards from the appropriate state's motor vehicle department.

USCIS wants to see that both of you share the same address throughout your marriage period.

Who knows how things will turn up down the road, will they still talk to you when you move out?

I will definitely get the letter FIL before I leave, to be on the safe side, since you are still on good terms with FIL.

You have plenty to think about ahead:

Getting an apartment in new state - whether to add hubs to the joint lease agreement or only add him if he ever gets his ### over.

It isn't too late to get a non-driver id at that address, does he have one too?

but of course they will talk to me...there is no reason not to....I am moving and so is he with me just later is all. I will add him to the lease..don't want to have issues down the line when he comes to live with me.

yah he had to renew it for the wedding.
