I second the split air con efficiency. They're all anyone has in Ecuador since all the windows have bars on them, and they work really well. Also, much quieter than window units.

Hubs lost his job today. They've been jerking him around a lot since his surgery, and today he got sick at work and they told him he either had to stay and work sick, or quit. He has a fever and has been vomiting, so I don't know how they expected him to stay, and considering he works with food... ew. He's very upset about it, though. Hoping something else comes through for him soon.

woo geico has brought the rate back down to what he was paying in CO AND that is for both cars, and me listed as a driver. we have switched.

i always thought geico had terribly inflated rates...guess they are pretty competitive after all.
