but either way...he is afraid of change of having to do anything because he thinks he might fail and then all the people in his family who keep saying he is exceptionally bright will realize maybe he is not as bright. He did say at some point "I just realized you are way smarter than me" ....now....I don't consider myself to be smart and as such...he has got to be geez.....don't even want to think about it...

and to your earlier question...no..I no longer care what or why. I have had to get thru my own fears a number of times and it was not easy...I can understand reluctance even procrastination but this has gone beyond things that I have ever seen....and btw I still cannot understand how i did not see this before or did not question things more.
