schedule more time with the husband in driving his car on a huge and empty parking lot. shift it to DAILY lessons with him - yes -- the husband...

although he could rent the car - you could not....

i don't want to deal with his car (manual) though...that clutch stuff...my brain just cannot grasp it.

ok it is making me mad saying that my brain cannot etc. i want to say i am sure that if i really wanted to, i COULD. but, knowing that whatever vehicle i get is gonna be an automatic, i cannot seem to bring myself to get used to the manual. it's like wasted time trying to figure out the slowly releasing clutch and shifting to gas thing when i could be practicing turns, parking, etc. instead.

I'm awake, slept till 1:30 was a very rough night I will spare you the details.

I don't know what the heck I got but I'm the only one that got sick, 3 days of living in the bathroom.

Poor baby I could barely hold him to feed him, thank god for nursing in bed, I could feed and sleep yay.

I think I am now on the mend.

BTW you all are nuts :P

hope you recover soon stretch...get your hubby to make you some hot soup and help out with the household chores...mommy needs to rest and heal.

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

so stop thinking about learning to drive

as

you've not set up the budget to buy yer own car yet

and instead -

focus on your husband dropping you off at various places throughout the week

where you can engage with people that will help you get a job.

why i say this? apparently you've no plan to drive yer husband's car after obtaining a drivers licence - so i am suggesting you shift a bit - todayish.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

i have the money :P just not sure yet if i should spend it heh.

i have been applying for part time jobs with the intention of expediting my EAD if any of them come through. most are within walking distance. :) indeed.com has been the most helpful in finding jobs within 5 miles!

and i definitely want to learn to drive now, when i have all this free time on my hands. if not, i'll never do it. useful skill.

so instead of renting cars -

go to the car dealership and get a test drive with the salesmen in the passenger seat.

it's fun !!!!

My hubby insists on manuals, but I never learned how to drive a stick and really have no interest in it. I would only ever really need to know if we moved back to Ecuador, but the driving there terrifies me anyway so I probably would opt out of that.

Silly menfolk.

Statistics on new car models indicate that automatics get better gas mileage, so ha!

Plus, one can drink coffee with ease while driving. This is important.

Let them sit in a few hrs of traffic in NYC for a few hours and see if they still want a manual. Or get a motorcycle.

There's about 2 new cars sold now that's available in a manual.

I can drive a manual, drink a coffee, text on cell, not wear my seat belt, and pick ma noze. All at the same time. And still not get a ticket. J is my proof! :)

Men are goofy about weird things. It's just a car, for God's sake. He is also very picky about keeping the car clean, but doesn't seem to give the house/our bedroom a second though.

He actually wants a motorcycle, buy I'm afraid he'd kill us both.
