Although that could certainly cause a revolution - I can only imagine the sight of the US army operating in US soil would cause serious discomfort and diarrhea in many - I do believe that would be one of the best uses for our military. Station them along the southern and northern borders, and along the coast of Alaska, in strategic points. Keep them there for the duration and protect the border.
