IV invoicing is taking 30 business days from DS-261 submission. Do not open the DS-261 or resubmit it after the initial submission or else you will be starting the clock all over again.

We are on 17th business day or 24th total days....I will liken the 15 days stated on the NVC website to the the 20 minute wait time they profess when you call them...last night I think I was on hold for almost 60 minutes. No worries, though....it will take them at least 60 days to review our documents which were received on March 13.

Hi guys, here is my experience. After I submitted DS-261, I called NVC and they reviewed my DS-261 while I was on the phone with them. IV bill was received within a couple of days after my conversation with the NVC (total 11 days from the case # was assigned). I also sent both AOS and IV packages before I received and paid IV bill.

I hope this info will help.

------

I-130 (as part of IR-5 process) - USCIS (Nebraska Service Center)

06/09/14 - sent I-130

06/14/14 - NOA 1

11/14/14 - NOA 2 (5 months)

AOS (Local Office: Denver)

03/24/15 - AOS packet sent via USPS Priority Mail (I-485, I-765 & I-131 w/ approved I-130)

03/26/15 - package delivered according to USPS website

04/01/15 - email notifying the AOS package has been received

04/02/15 - an AOS fee withdrawn from a bank account

04/09/15 - received hard copies of all three NOAs (NOAs dated 04/01/15)

04/28/15 - Biometrics

05/08/15 - online status changed to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview"

05/18/15 - online status changed to I-765 approved-wait the card in the mail (no change for I-131) (80 days)

05/19/15 - received EAD/AP in the mail

05/28/15 - online status changed to "As of June 28, case is ready to be scheduled for an interview." This is the second time of such change since 05/08/15.

07/05/15 - online status changed to "As of July 5, case is ready to be scheduled for an interview." How many times are they going to update that status, I wonder?

12/18/15 - still waiting!!! For almost 9 months now (261 days from AOS NOA, 234 days from Biometrics).

01/14/16 - submitted "out-of-normal processing time" inquiry and called USCIS that stated the case is still at NBC and "inquiry" should answer why there is such delay.

01/15/16 - 294 days since the AOS was received by the USCIS; 262 days from the biometrics.

01/28/16 - [day 309] received response to case status inquiry (processed on 01/23/15) - "your case is waiting to be scheduled for interview," so wait another 90 days [sigh].

02/21/16 - [day 332] interview scheduled for 03/24/16 [363 days from the receipt of petition].

02/24/16 - [day 363] AOS interview. Approval on the spot.

Keep calling them buddy. This immigration process is all about patience, but 55 days sounds waaaay too long. Keep dialing and cancel if you hear "thank you for calling nvc..". If you hear it ring for a bit and you'll hear a recording again, that means you got through. Then follow the voice prompts til you come across the option to talk to a customer representative. After which you have to wait for 30mins to an hour to talk to a human. You should really find out whats going on. It could be that the choice of agent form hasn't been reviewed yet.

Hi Dennis8,

yeah, don't wait for them to do something. If you call them and ask for the choice of agent form to be reviewed most of them will do it. Though I'm not at that stage yet (since I'm having a case number prob), I've read here that everyone who calls and asks a rep to review it was able to do so. But sometimes you have to call a few times cause some agents wont do it. Unless you're not in a rush, I would call. It will really save you time instead of waiting

OK, apparently it takes nvc 45 days from reviewing ds261 to billing IV fee. We finally got an OK last thursday and we received the IV bill per email. I guess going back into that ds261 agent form, really sets back the clock. Taking that in account it took them around 45 days. Now let's see how long it takes for them to put ds260 online. My husband paid the IV bill Friday.

I hope the issue with your case isn't something too serious :s
