Grouping together i-130's

Is it a good idea to group together i-130's? I am doing one each for my two sons and wife. I'll have an envelope for each packet. Could I then group all three envelopes into one envelope mailed to the lockbox? Or should I mail out all three separately?

Thanks!

yes you can. you can even send one money order for the total amount of all three applications.

make sure you send it with registered mail, or using a courier service (ups, fedex, etc...) to be able to track it.

I did that. works like a charm.

good luck.

one envelope, one tracking number, one check for the fees = much easier and cheaper

Yes, that's what I did for both my parents - except that I issued two separate checks. I just separated their documents with big paper clips. Good luck!

Are they your actual sons or step-sons? The reason I ask is because if they are you're biological sons, they maybe eligible for outright citizenship.

Thank you, everyone, for your replies! I was really leaning on sending them separate, but thanks to your advice here I'll be sending it all together. Thanks!

They are my sons, but because I was raised overseas (I myself gained US citizenship through my mom) my sons didn't inherit my US citizenship as I was not 'domiciled' at the time of their birth. I needed to have resided in the US 5 years prior to their birth. This was further confirmed when I applied for the CRBA for my two sons -- status denied. Which brings up another question -- should I include the letter from the embassy stating that they did not qualify for US citizenship at birth? I was told I may need it "later on" to prove that they are _not_ already US citizens (apparently some sneaky people apply for US citizenship using the names of people who are already US citizens??)
