Hi all,i just got 10 year green card two weeks back after removing conditions by i751 and my marriage is on rocks.None of us is planning to divorce but may try to resolve issues back in home country(our people back in home country are not getting along and it is reason of fight between us,we are planning to go back and sit with all ,try to resolve issues). But i am not sure we will succeed in that or not.

1. I want to know if we separate right now then how will it affect my citizenship.I am planning to file under 5 years rule.

2. Will they ask for marriage documents at that time or will they ask about proof that i entered in marriage in good faith or why problem is created just after getting permanent green card because i just removed conditions 2 weeks back.

3. Also if somebody can guide me,what happens to my status if my husband decides to surrender citizenship(which he has stated few times although he does not hold dual citizenship, because he has unstable mind.I have explained him many times that first get home country's citizenship then surrender US citizenship but he is not willing to listen even when i talk about his own benefit). So if he decides to surrender US citizenship will i be able to stay here and apply for citizenship of US on 5 years rule.

God bless all.

2- keep the proof of the bona-fide marriage.

3-Nothing will happen to your status if he surrendered his USC
