Just 3 weeks after we filed the I-129F we got the approval notice stating that they will forward the documents to NVC. What we will do next? And 2 days ago, we received another letter from them, telling us to have the beneficiary fill-up the DS 160.

Now, with regards of I-134, i know we needed paystubs, letter of employment and tax return, can the petitioner just used the copy of ITR he had and not the transcript that came from IRS?

(organizer hat off)

Congrats on your K-1 visa petition approval. To be clear, your K-1 visa application will hopefully be approved at the US Embassy.

:time: It helps everyone that uses the forum.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Did you receive a notice that looks like this?: http://www.visajourney.com/gallery/albums/Immigration/I-129F-NOAs/NOA2.jpg

Note the notice type specified as "Approval Notice". If so, that is your NOA2, . That was quick! Congrats on the I-129f petition approval! :dancing:

2 weeks from receipt of NOA 2, you can check with NVC if they have already assigned a case number (MNL#): http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/nvc/nvc-contact-information.html

Once you have your MNL#, you can now pay for the visa application fee and schedule an interview date with the USEM. Follow Hank's guide for more details: http://visaconnection-philippines.com/#

Edit: With regards to the evidence of support that you need to submit with the I-134, your petitioner only needs to send the most recent 1040 +W2. If his 1040 is not available, he can download his IRS tax transcript online: http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

-If his income is well above the poverty guideline for his household size, he does not need to provide the employment certificate and paystubs.

OIC, Congrats!!!

Without a completed current timeline it is difficult for other forum members to accurately determine your exact immigration status, hence my request. Additionally, your signature speaks about AOS process dates?

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Can you also please key-in your dates here?: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/ :)

Your signature timeline shows AOS. Is it your fiance's? Are you the petitioner or beneficiary? Just a little confused when addressing, sorry.

The petitioner can fill-out some parts of the DS-160, but have to electronically signed by the applicant upon completion of the form and before submitting it. Check out the VJ DS-160 example form here: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/DS-160-Example-Form.pdf

Personally, I would advise the beneficiary to fill-out the DS-160 herself. Details/ information asked for in the example form just simply needs to be readily available while completing the DS-160. I finished mine in about 30-40 minutes in one sitting. :)

Ahh got it.. Thanks for clearing that out. :) Not sure how K1 was done then, but best to always refer to the embassy website for updated information.

You're welcome! Tell your friend to check out Hank's site with link I posted on my first response. Also, to check out the US embassy in Manila instructions for the interview requirements while waiting for the MNL#: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/325288/packets/K1%20and%20K2%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_updated%2004%20Feb%202014_.pdf

Btw, it might take about 2 - 5 weeks for NVC to process an I-129f case files and provide a MNL#.

Congrats on the quick approval!

Embassy instructions letter only asks for your most recent tax return and W-2, transcripts are optional.

Yes, you can go ahead and pay the visa fee. Hank's site has a good read on this step: http://visaconnection-philippines.com/#

Not sure if a 1040A would be sufficient. The USEM always asks for the 1040. And don't forget the W-2, wage statements.

what is the difference of 1040 and 1040A? do we have to sumbit the last 3 yrs of 1040 or just the very recent one?

thank you always for replying sweetcakes.
