Hi everyone,

I filed an i-90 application to replace my green card because my old one had me wrongly listed as a CR1 when I am an IR1. I had my first biometric appointment about a month ago and received a notice for a second appointment in a for "unreadable prints." I think I might fail this appointment as well since I usually have problems with fingerprint machines.

Does anyone know what the process is for getting the police clearance letters? From what I know, it has to be from all the places I've lived in for the last 10 years, which includes India. Would I need to get a letter from there as well? I called up local PDs in the other two states I've lived in to ask about these letters and they seemed to not have any clue what I was talking about. I'd appreciate any info you guys could provide. Thanks.

I also had a letter to come back a second time, and that seemed fine. I did find a lot of people here recommended Corn huskers lotion, and I did go get some of that and tried it.

I understood the polcie clearances to be from the places I had lived after I got here, and not ten years. On the event that your second set of fingerprints aren't any better than the first, I would hope they would give you the requirement in the notice.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
