Question about DS260

Hello. Can someone help me with a matter.

I'm about to fill the DS260 form,but I know that on the present DS230 form the information about sponsor was mandatory. Now I don't know if I must have a sponsor living in US or not,and also should I fill the line Petitioner or can I mention myself and it wouldn't do any problem.

No it wasn't mandatory ... Only a handful of countries required a sponsor for DV winners. If you are in one of those countries however you will still need one. Check the country specify pages on the selectee website if you aren't sure about this.

And yes the petitioner is "self" for the winner, and the winner for the derivatives,

Unlike DS-230, the new electronic DS-260 form does not ask about a petitioner. You still need to provide an address in the US to which you intend to arrive and receive your green card.
