Guess its a bit late for 'hello', but it looks like I'll be around for a while longer.

My husband filed I-130 for me in Februari. It was registered on march 4 and last updated on March 11. I swear checking on it is pure torture.

So I'm patiently waiting for the 5 month average its suppose to take, which will be August 4th.

Right now its on Initial review, background check, I wander what they are finding out about me, I'm really not that interesting, actually I'm pretty boring as far as I'm consurned.

I'm assuming its on the botom of a pile somewhere getting nowhere. But rules are rules and regulations must be followed I guess.

So (not so) patiently I'm waiting........

O right, I was suppose to intrduce myself:

My name is Sepha, I'm Dutch and happily married to an American citizen with two kids. I graduated vet school and passed the international test.

But a veterinary licence can't be got until I have a social security number and it looks like that will take even longer. Can't wait to finally move to the States and get on with my life.

This is a great place for venting (not sure that's what its meant for),

Thanks for listening to my complaining and I promiss from now on I'll stick to facts only. :goofy:

It will be more like 6 months before you hear from USCIS ;)

Once you have confirmation they received the package, it's just a waiting game...

When you get to the NVC stage, things will start moving a bit quicker :)

You should create a VJ timeline !

Hi there! Hope your process goes smoothly and you get approved in 5 months  I filed in Jan and am coming up on my 5 month mark, which is when my fiance will send in a service request. My status is on background check too, but since they haven't touched my file since Jan, I don't think they're checking much

Wish you all the best!
