Hi guys. We have our interview next week so it's not like I'm at AOS yet, but it's only a month away for us actually, and I'm a major proponent of planning ahead. Aaaaanyway

Rey got a list of vaccinations that he got, but it's not in any sealed envelope and it's all in Portuguese. What are we supposed to do about this? Brazilians: Can he bring this to the doctor in Rio or something and have him do the English-language sealed vaccination record thing? We really want to avoid the extra cost of a civil surgeon type appointment.

My other question is: has anyone ever gotten an RFE for the previous year's tax returns when they filed in January, February, March or early April? My most recent return is 2005 of course and I'll file AOS in Feb.

I don't know anything about going through Brazil but what Hicham got was the form I-3025 (I think that's the right number) it's a form the Consulate had the doctor fill out so it's in English. We then took that to a civil surgeon and they put that info onto the I-693 for 10$ and put it in a sealed envelope.

I do believe people got RFE's like the one you described. I think (but am not positive) that Jenn got one where they asked for the previous years taxes even though she filed before they were due.

Good luck with the interview!

Sarah

You should be fine as long as you send several of your last paystubs for 2006, and they show that your income is enough. And don't forget to bring the 2006 tax return to your interview!

Hmm Sarah he asked his doctor for this type of thing but he was not forthcoming with it... maybe he should ask again with the form name or something?

I think so. Actually Hicham came here without anything so he called up the doctor's office in Morocco and arranged for his sister to pick up the form and she sent it here. Maybe he should ask for the specific form and tell him he needs it for immigration in the future. I am not positive about this but I think I remember Hicham saying the doctor wouldn't give him those records before the interview for some reason. Maybe he can go back after the interview and get it. Also, I have heard that sometimes the doctor will even fill out the I-693. GOod luck.
