Manila Interview Appointment

You can schedule an appointment for your fiancee, the reason why they ask for a Philippines address because that's where they will deliver the visa to once it's ready. if you prefer to pick up the visa they'll have automatic To Go pick up addresses set up for every town/ city once you click them. I don't think you do need to pay the visa fee before you can schedule an appointment if you are referring to the VRP receipt number then you leave it blank and just click continue

Thank you very much for your help, this is rather confusing.

Please help me I am about to give up I have never once logged in and seen any dates at all, am I doing something wrong? My fiancee is working on a ship and cannot do any of this and is not going back to philippines until end of JUne. The family is against the marriage so will not help or open the mail. There is a friend address we have given to the embassy but they sent K 1 approval letter with appointment instructions to family home address instead so there is no way to get the information. What can I do?

I have seen a lot of people trying to schedule an appointment for their fiance. I was creating an account but it kept saying it wanted a Philippines address, so I figured that my fiance should create the account. It also asks for a receipt number towards the end, do I have to pay for the visa before I can schedule an appointment?

You cannot schedule an interview until you pay the visa fee.

I don't think you do need to pay the visa fee before you can schedule an appointment if you are referring to the VRP receipt number then you leave it blank and just click continue

It will not allow you to continue until you pay the visa fee. You need to enter a receipt number.

I have been checking obsessively but I never see anything show up on the left side of my dashboard. Am I looking in the correct place? I was told something would appear on the left side if there was a slot. I keep refreshing but it just looks the same...

How often do slots show up? Are there times of the day that are best to check? Can appointments be scheduled via email request?

Your doing everything just fine. If there is nothing there then that means there is currently no opening or slots available. I'm assuming you already paid your visa fee. That is a must before making a appointment or it will not allow you to schedule a interview. Nobody knows how often they show up. When I got my appointment I based it on phil time and worked it from there but doesn't mean that a slot wont open up from someone that has cancel their appointment. Appointments can't be scheduled via email for k1. This will be a part time job for you to check every hour or more.

Tip: If you log on your dashboard and see no date then you can repeat this as much as you like until a date shows up but if you hit continue like your trying to get to the calendar then after so many times it will lock you out until the next day.

Here's my prediction but maybe im wrong but here a shot. They release july dates on 6-1-14 around 10pm (usa date) all the way up to July 11th, so my prediction is that they will release the next set of dates on 6-15-14 (sunday nite usa date) at around 8pm which is 8 am phil time on 6-16-14 which is Monday morning.

I was wondering which is the easiest way to pay for the visa fee? Can I pay it online or do I have to send her the money, via Western Union.

You can only pay online if she has a account with BPI otherwise you send her the money via western union. Then she has to print up the proper voucher to take to the bank. They only take pesos. They will stamp her receipt and she will have a receipt number which you will use to schedule a appointment. It takes 24 hours to post on your account.

Yes, it's normal for applicants in Philippines to not receive the embassy instructions. I did receive mine last year, but it was a day before my scheduled interview. :D What is the date on your NOA2? Do you have a copy of the NVC letter stating your MNL# as well? If you do, the NVC letter is good enough for SLEC to allow you take the exam. They just need some proof that you are actually going to have an impending USEM interview. Some have mentioned here that they only used the MNL#, but it is easier for the guard to decide to allow you entry if you have the NVC letter at least.

Just remember that your visa validity is tied up to your medical, which is exactly +6 months after your medical date. Read up on http://www.slec.ph/ for more info.

By the way, when you have a chance, :time: . It helps everyone who use the forum and those who try to respond to your particular concern.

NOA 2 has the uscis Receipt number and Alien number (A#), but not the MNL#. Your MNL# should start with MNL2014 .... From your approval period, your approval date is April 9. That means, your fiance might have received the NVC letter by now, and it should look like this: http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l240/felicityme/nvc.jpg
