Well it is not a phone card but vonage offers unlimited calls to the UK for $25/month. I believe you can also get a virtual UK phone number, so he can call you and it will be like a local call. You can also get a number for your laptop and call where ever you go and have access to high speed internet.

I get 8 cents a minute to the UK using my regular long distance company(Verizon)...I do pay a 5 dollar fee per month for the priviledge.

We mainly use Skype (what a money saver!), but I do have a phone card from Noblecom.com that I keep at work in case I need to phone him from there. They email you the access number and PIN.

I use 10 10 987 as well -- just bear in mind that if you call your partner's mobile phone, it's 12 cents a minute.

Aaah yeh, I forgot about that. Probably best not to call English cell phones anyway. I don't even call them from England, the charges are a right rip off.

I had a friend of mine whose BF is one of the countries that were listed and it worked!! It is totally free!!!! I believe it is www. futurephone.com or www.futurefon.com. I believe it to be the first one. If that does not work try www.tel3advantage.com I use that one and it is really cheap, and if you have any problems with cut minutes just call and they replace them with no problem. you can recharge and there is no card or pin to mess with. He can also get vonage in the UK which will allow him to call you for free, and with a virtual number, you can call him for free as well. It's been a lifesaver for us! I've got D's virtual number in my celly so I can call him whenever I want. Plus, with the web access and call forwarding, if your honey's out of the house, you can forward the calls to anywhere else...of course, to a UK mob would have a fee, but it's on his end, lol.

Also there's a 'referral' proggie...you sign up and whoever referred you gets a free month, and you do too. Then you can refer others and get the free months that way as well.
