Called NVC this morning, spoke to Karl after 18 minutes of waiting,

Told him its 13 days not since case number was assigned and he said Ds-261 and AOS wont be available until 30 business.

I think they just say 30 days for everything now. Haven't heard it taking that long, usually a couple of weeks tops.

I didn't ask but it doesn't look like it. Guess it's just a case of hoping and hoping and trying not to stress to much right now. This 30 day nonsense for everything is a real Debbie downer

I do not believe it will be 30 days. They say that, and then somethings happen much quicker.

I received my case number on June 19 and the AOS email to pay on June 23. We also received the IV fee to pay on the 23rd as well as our case is with an attorney. We paid the AOS fee on the 23rd with a certified check. The fee was received and recorded as paid by July 1 and we sent the AOS package the same day. We paid the IV fee July 3. We could have paid both fees at the same time but all attorney insisted he likes to do one at a time.

The point here is that things are moving a little more rapidly than they claim at the NVC. However the real slow down is in front of us. It is the processing of the AOS and the IV package that takes the real time. We are guessing the IV fee will be paid in a few more days and then we will send the IV package and complete the 261 online. We are guessing at least 30 days to process the AOS, IV package and 261. A mid August case complete is not out of the question although we are anticipating late August if no checklists come in. We are praying for a September interview but probably early October.

Good to read that your case is progressing.

The long session will usually be the processing of the DS 260 - the IV application.

The NVC is quoting 30 days at the moment for the AOS processing and from postings it seems to be similar for the IV (DS260) processing?

Whether or not these will can and will work in synch is an unknown factor.

I too am hoping (along with many others!) for a Sept/Oct interview but that looks increasingly unlikely with the current feedbacks on processing times at the NVC.

If I get an interview by November I shall consider that good - and would be delighted to be completed by Thanksgiving - however I don't expect anything - I just take it day by day - that's the only way I find to handle it without going bonkers.

Yea it got shipped to Nvc on the June 10. Called nvc they said they received it on June 16 called again and they said they received it on June 18.i just want this process to be over with.

I can't imagine why ur attorney would have you wait to pay the IV fee when the sooner you pay and send the documents, the sooner ur case can be completed. Just make sure you send all required docs and hope that they review in less than 30. Also make sure you confirm receipt of all documents you send to NVC.
