Congrats!

If you don't mind me asking, what was your expedite request based on?

Personal and financial hardship as a single dad taking care of two kids, one was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. If wife was here I wouldn't need to spend thousands of dollars on child care.

This is way true. My wife and I are so disgusted and heartbroken to be caught in the NVC backlog after spending 7 months in the USCIS backlog that we've just resigned ourselves to be away from watching the process. It's too painful to watch this slow motion train wreck. When USCIS began clearing the log jam and pushing for 5 month (and sooner) approvals you would have thought someone down stream at the NVC could have seen this flood coming and prepared for it. But no. That would have been too insightful and diligent for our government to implement. Instead it is log jam 2.0

We now have folks who already waited a minimum of six months for their NAO2 now waiting in line at the NVC with others that have only waited a few months at USCIS. Although I'm genuinely happy that those behind us have been processed through quicker it does seem unfair that we are all clumped together now, waiting weeks in between each step and dealing the 60 day delay. Folks processed through the NVC just 2 months ago were getting through in 90 days or less. Now it is closer to 4 or 5 months if you're lucky and you don't get a checklist.

Yes, the NVC 60 day BS has done me in from visiting here very much. It's just too depressing.....

I'm a little confuse about ''the scan date'' when did you actually mail out the AOS AND IV package? is the 14th when you actually got confirmation from them? I send in both package on 8/7/14 it got deliver to nvc on 8/8/14 and I got the 60 day delay email on 8/11/14 telling me to start counting from that date. Would that be consider the scan date for my documents?

They received both our packages on the 13th and scanned them into their system on the 14th. I called to check. I'm counting 60 days from then but they appear to be working on docs from the second week of July so it could be less. I think the 60 days is BS as they cover their backs.

Thank you! and yes looking into different forums it looks like they are working first 2 weeks of July till around the 14th of July as far as I been able to tell by other members post. I called nvc on the 20th of August to check about the package and they told me they had receive it but didn't say anything about being scan in the rep just told me it was there and to wait 60 days from that day. You and I have around the same time frame so hopefully we hear something soon. :)
