You've already been pushed there. If you're at the NVC, the new DACA apps will have no affect on you. What we are suffering the backlog accrued thanks to DACA back in 2012.

Do believe that anyone that received the letter is actually getting pushed back while others cut in front of the line? Or is this just a case of huge volumes now and everyone getting delayed, even the DACA folks?

The only ones getting pushed are the DACA folks, ad they got pushed to the head of the line back in 2012. You're still feeling the affects of that today. Remember, vote R in 2012

I'm not convinced it's only the previous backlog which has stung us for this entire process this far. We are getting lots of reports that the 2014 DACA renewals are already passing the USCIS and are now at the NVC. I wouldn't doubt the NVC is being further slowed by this.

Whoever told you that does not know what the hell they are talking about. DACA doesn't grant any type of visa to enter the US so it never goes to the NVC and State has not to do with it.

You have to call! Once they review if anything is needed you will get a checklist, if the AOS is reviewed prior to the IV packet they will checklist you for the IV packet (false checklist). But the best way to know is to call.

I was told by someone on the phone as NVC that DS-261 review still takes 30 business days. So Your IV fee will open up in 6 weeks which is 30 business days. However, the review of the AOS package & IV package takes 60 days total from the time they received it.

Hope this helps clarify.

I don't know that the total time will be just 60 days.

Having waited 30 working days/6 weeks/42 days (to the day!) for the AOS/DS261 to be reviewed - I have now entered the IV application and this is acknowledged on the site.

The following email I have just received indicates another additional 60 days or 8.5 weeks to wait for the IV package to be "reviewed":

Note particularly the "...at least..."

"The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 01-AUG-14.

We are currently receiving an increased number of approved petitions from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. As a result, we are experiencing increased review times for documents received.

We expect it will be at least 60 days from the date we received your mail before we complete the review of your documents. We will notify you when we review your documents.

We are working to reduce these processing times and we appreciate your patience."

So apparently we are all looking at some 4-5 months in total to complete the NVC stage...and that's without complications or questions arising from it....

Of course it then has to go into the Queue for an appointment which can take up to another 4-6 weeks....

Or have I misunderstood the NVC email?

I rcvd an the letter to do AOS processing fee bill invoice.

When I put in the nvc case number & invoice id number this comes up:

This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately.

What does this mean??

It means that the AOS is being invoiced. Try again tomorrow, it should be available to pay soon.
