Called the NVC hotline and the very helpful lady told me that August interviews are out as they just "got" my AOS on 6/30 (even though it arrived a week prior), and it takes 30 working days to get it

Hi Ingrid, I too was alone through out my pregnancy. Baby is two months old now. The process is taking a lot longer than I expected.

Guys I received my case and invoice number today after calling and I also filled out the ds261 form, submitted it and print confirmation sheet. What would be the next step after payment, won't pay today though.

I noticed some are printing their "confirmation sheet" for DS261. What do we do with it other than filing it away? I'm just making sure I'm not missing anything :blush:

Any idea where they are with invoicing AOS's???

Took about a week for us after the case number was assigned. You should have your AOS invoices any time now.

No I did not I just got the case and invoice number today. I signed in and the form was available for me to fill out plus the payments portal.

I got invoice number on Thursday, but nothing is available yet. NVC told me to wait for the email..

Everything is moving v-e-r-y slowly at the moment ..for whatever reason....

Hi Guys, I think this is my first post in this thread.

so... yesterday i got an email telling me that USCIS sent package to NVC.

Called this morning and of course they don't have anything in their system yet... (just wanted to call in case a miracle happened)

lady on the phone told me to wait 25 business days from NOA2 for NVC to have "something" in their system. I'll call a week from now and see if they have received something. This NVC process seems less stressful to me as at least there's more stuff to do and more interaction (yet more posibilites for error) but overall this seems less "terrible". (I hope I get an interview by late october / early november)

I pray for a speedy resolution for all of you and that you be reunited with your loved ones soon.

I think it's ridiculous and inhumane and it's happening not in some third world country, it is happening in USA! Wait for a month till they recieve a case, another month till they assign the number. .. Now wait a month for a freaking email!!! Those organizations are payed by a goverment, our tax money, then we have pay visa fees! Frustrating .....

I'm sure that everyone finds the wait interminable - unfortunately there is no other legal way - and the numbers processed by NVC are said to be risiing all the time - I'm sure I read somewhere that NVC is processing about 1000 I130 applications alone each working day....

Hence the long long queues...

BernieRich I agree that that is the only way and they are overwhelmed. But the system is waisting money. Operators working till midnight?? Why? They should be doing paperwork and we should be able to see progress online instead of this stupid always busy phone line.

Why this case received , case number , invoice , email is not one step process?

I know prayers and patience...but its getting more and more difficult ...

congrats again and welcome to the next stage.

I think NVC will receive you case in about 7- 14 day mine took 12 days from when it was shipped.

When they say 25 business days I think its from that time to when you will receive case number.

Good luck and call every other day until they tell you they have received it.

Yes Ingrid!!! I did not get the emails from NVC until after I already paid mine. They say wait but I checked and saw them posted and I paid and sent my documents through. Communication from NVC is delayed so they may post your invoice yet you don't get the email until a day or two later. This is the case with everything at NVC, their communication is a day or two, sometimes more behind their action. Go ahead and pay and send your documents so you can get the ball rolling on your case(s). The sooner you send them in, the sooner your 30 days (review time) starts.
