IV applications was paid and completed last month and i had 1 checklist for required documents like marriage certificate, birth certf and passport copy, these documents still under review,

Thank you dwheels76 for your fast reply and help.

When NVC receives more than one package, at the time of review, do they review all packages at same time or they review by date was received?

Once that is reviewed and accepted and you said AOS was accepted than you will get case complete. Call Friday to see.

Let me correct myself after saying the wrong thing. From my good friend Yannix who straighten me out. Want the correct information for others who may read. I apologize for posting wrong information.

"There are no numbers of visas allocated per country. It's just one total number for worldwide. However there is a per country cap of 7%. Basically a single country can't consume more than 7% of the total worldwide visas (all categories combined) . If they do, they get capped. For the last decade, these have been the Philippines, Mexico, India and China. That's why they have their own column in the visa bulletin. "

So can it be safely assumed that if someone gets a K-1 Visa (where the K-1 visa is is invalid after you pass through POE in the US) ... that if someone waits 4 months before they use the K-1 Visa, that they could be possibly hogging up a VISA spot for someone trying to get one? :)

Just a general question.

No. They aren't hogging up any thing. One LPR's can't petition for a K1. Only citizens can so no Vida number so no hogging. YAY!!

And anyway everyone gets a 6 month window to use as they please to enter. That's their right.

Hello everyone i'm new here don't even know if i'm on the right forum lol. Just that i'm sooo frustrated our case has been at the NVC since 2/6/14 all fees paid and apps and supporting docs sent and received. What taking them sooo long to complete case? Uggghhh and now I see DR don't even have interview schedule up for July, i'm afraid we will end up in the August interviews :( And why do they even saw priority date 6/10/2014 does this even matter?

i have a suspicion that the NVC has slowed down interview appointments for the Santo Domingo Consulate in preparation for the move to the new building. I'm guessing they have the staff organizing and packing files. The Consulate is going to be close for a few days during the move and only provide limited service for the next week following the move. I'm afraid we are going to see some delays here :(

Have you called NVC to ask if you have case complete? Have you checked your email to make sure no checklist?

If you are a citizen your PD is not something to been looking at PD is for F2A category since they have to wait for their PD to be current to move forward,

Your embassy probably is not doing anything for interviews because of the move so maybe end of the moth for August.

Hey dwheels76, thanks for responding. I sent AOS on 4/23/2014 and husband sent supporting Docs on 4/25/2014. I received a false checklist on 5/14/2014 about AOS. Then a week later I called to check status and they told me my paperwork was being review. I know they take 30 days for everything so I decided to wait till tomorrow which makes 30 business days. Oh and I am a US citizen. Thank you ?
