My husband is about to come to the US and I am looking for a temporary health insurance that is reputable. Also, I am thinking it will need to meet the Obamacare requirements so that we don't have to pay the 10% fee. I have seen some temporary insurances that require a green card. Of course he won't have a green card as soon as he enters the US, but we still want him to be covered for emergencies. Have any of you bought temporary health insurance for your spouse?

The Stare Exchanges is likely to be his best bet.

i had mine at IMG. it is a visitor visa valid until july. my now spouse, applied for me 2 weeks after i entered US. although, i still havent used it. urgent care is not covered with the insurance. just the check-up.
