I thought about that when U read this. They do have open picnic like areas, where you can get out and eat. maybe that is what they mean

I am very pro gun, and I support firearm rights. I just think strapping on a huge handgun and going in a restaurant is not a great idea. I bought a holster from a gun expert the other day at a show. He said he never open carries, as it can lead to all kinds of other issues.I just think tactically it is not prudent. I also think going in Starbucks wit AR-15'S over your shoulder does more to hurt the cause tan help it.

Not saying open carry should be illegal, just saying I don't think it a smart move

Maybe if you want to open carry, they issue a small pin on permit you can wear, that identifies you , much like a badge does a cop

I luvs luvs luvs the brassard option - I hope it becomes prevalent and federal. That'd be cool !

I think anyone with open carry should be required to wear an inflatable pony hat, instead of a badge.

I assure you, I am not angry at all.

I think "angry comment" comments are angry.

Should put emotes in every post so people don't get the wrong idea? :luv::luv::luv::luv::luv::luv:

How about I post pictures of "hot babes" to appease others?

Yes please and thank you.

Fully clothed - due to the F-F aspect(s ) .... if that's not asking too much...

and yes - as always - BONUS POINTS for Sarah Palin - strapped with a glock -- eating in her 4x4 parked at the Sonic... :D

Oh - I remember a piece of fiction that had 'wearing of the brassard' in it as an underlying theme - then there was a bit of explanation about the Gentlemen's Code of Conduct as applied to brassard-wearers.

perhaps I got carried away by it - years ago - but I'll posit - inflatable pony hats serve the purpose equally well...

On a side note. the NRA issued a statement calling the open carry of rifles to Chipotle and other places as 'weird' and 'inappropriate'.

It does fall into the bleeding obvious category but was also covered in the CC and Hunting permit classes I did. Big time.

I think they should add my little ponys to that gun too.

You know, I think they should add my little ponys to all guns...

Oh wait, the NRA would not support that, because the gun manufacturers need profit at all costs.

there's money to be made in cross-licensing fees...

just sayin...

AR15s are the home build computer of the shooting world thats all. You can build them up from individual parts to suite your frame size, your tastes, your needs etc.

You may not realize this but a lot of do not go to stores and just lay down cash for an AR. They start with a lower receiver (the regulated part of the rifle) and go from there.

Also your use of the term "military style assault weapon" is a completely BS term that has been in use for only a few years and has no strict definition.

On a side note. the NRA issued a statement calling the open carry of rifles to Chipotle and other places as 'weird' and 'inappropriate'.

It's not a bs term, gun enthusiasts like to make everyone think it is to deflect off of the real issue.

I'm still waiting for NB, or anyone else, to give me any good reason why I should change my mind on the belief that AR-15's serve no legitimate purpose to the general public that other guns don't already serve.

I am looking at getting a new rifle, not an AR or even an AK. There are many many choices. Would I be that upset if one of them disappeared, not really.

But quite why anybody should have a downer on one type is beyond me.

It is a bit like somebody who does not like trucks saying he does not like a Dodge Ram and what purpose does it serve that other trucks do not.

Nah

"I have a pistol for home/personal protection" - makes sense

"I have a rifle for hunting" - makes sense

"I have an assault rifle I like it" - seems like they could live without it considering the potential damage

"I have an assault rifle because I plan to fight the government" sounds like treason or terrorism to me.

It was a term invented in the late 1980s based on how scary a gun looks…I'm not joking.

Teddy - for general pubic/public usage -

I not see the need for an AR-15.

However - for non-pubic/non-public usage -

I'd want an AR-15 if'n the other guy in the zombie apocalypse had an AR-15 - as then we could share ammo and clips and whatnots.

Still - the same can be said for Maserati's and Ferrari owners - why get one when a honda does the same job - albeit slower ? Because they can --- they have the money and the interest... ;)

Like I've previously stated, the AR-15's and other military style weapons are the choice of mass murdering nut jobs. they serve no other legitimate purpose for the gun owners other than looking bad a$$. And that's what it's all about when it comes to these guns. Who's is bigger and can blow up more stuff?

Why people insist on comparing vehicles to a gun is beyond me.There really is nothing that compares to a gun except another killing device and a truck aint one of them.
