How would we be punishing them? They would be going home with their parents who brought them here illegally. That's the parents fault, not the U.S. govt. There's plenty of US Citizen children paying the price for the mistakes their parents made. Look at all the children with parents in prison. They're being punished for the mistakes of their parents. Should we give them some kind of special break? I mean they live in a 1 parent household through no fault of their own right?

Bottom line, if these kids are in a bad situation, they need to be asking their parents why that is not the U.S. government.

This is what most people face when they come from those type of countries.

Yeah Mexico is a dangerous place. Maybe the people living there should do something about that. Exactly how is that the problem of the US.?

Since it's dangerous, do you advocate allowing anyone with Mexican citizenship to move the U.S. because they're scared?

I think they banned semi-autos as well.

Antique or non-modern firearms are anything older than 1898 i think? The pawn star guy only buys antiques because he doesn't want to deal with a dealer license or something. So he can only buy/sell guns made before 1898 or around that time. I always thought that was the cutoff point.

Yeah thats right. Then Curio Relics are defined as 50 years or older.

So I just want to make sure I got this straight.

If we are talking about guns, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we should not judge guns based on how they look.

But, if we are talking about people, if they look crazy, say, they are wearing a halloween costume or getting exuberant at a punk rock show, then we should judge them swiftly and lock them up.

Nope, as usual, you twisted the intent behind the post, or simply don't get it at all. Since I couldn't find any pics of mass murderers caught in the act wielding "assault weapons" while they mowed their victims down, I chose instead to portrify my words with pics of people acting crazy using Google images.

In light of the family-friendly benevolent atmosphere that abounds here at VJ, let me go on record by stating that the people in those pics I posted who are acting crazy had no intent to harm anyone, either with assualt weapons, crayons, or meds. They were simply props for demonstration purposes. Unless of course, they really ARE crazy, which we won't know until they go on a shooting spree somewhere.

Nailed it!

I really wish you gun enthusiasts would start comparing like items. Guns are killing devices, the rest you mentioned are not.

Ummm, I have seen reports of several incidents where dogs attacked and /or killed someone. (though NONE have ever been reported to have used an "assault weapon"; technically, this puts dog teeth in the same category as an AR-15)

This is one of the "craziest" guys ever

This is what I am thinking of getting next.

Much more accurate than an AR15

Longer range

Higher muzzle velocity

Bigger bullet

I think it is much nicer looking

And on nobodys banned list.

Caliber?

Much more accurate at what range? (A lot of the accuracy component comes from the person holding the gun, remember)

It IS nice looking, but now you gotta buy a scope for it.

I bet it's on the ban list of several VJ members who shall remain nameless...

I think you revealed your underlying assumption about what crazy people looked like. Thanks for the illustration. It was informative.

it shows how far we have to go on mass understanding of mental health and diagnosis.

Whatever happens, we have got

The Maxim gun, and they have not.

Either 6.5 Swede or .308. .308 is much more common around here.

More accurate at any range but certainly longer range.

I have a spare scope, a VX1.

Well it is a gun....

That's actually the difference between being a FFL and a C&R dealer. MUCH simpler and cheaper to deal in Curios and Relics, lots less paperwork.
