Which one is more apt to bite you?

The first one is big and scary, but I'd be willing to bet that the little one has bitten more people. Yet more people are frightened by the first one. You want to call it irrational hysteria, I call it human nature.

Humans are irrational a lot. Doesn't mean the govt. should go around passing laws and making policy based on that. They seem to do it all the time though. I say go for it! Make the scary looking weapons illegal. I bet it doesn't change a thing when it comes to these mass shootings. The most recent nut used a pistol I believe.

The difference between guns and most anything else in existence is that a guns main purpose is to kill. Once that trigger is pulled, there is no going back. To me, that should be all that is needed to instill any fear into a person with such a weapon. But for some reason the gun folks feel the need to take it further by making these weapons look like military issue and adding to the fear that people already have. It's like some gun owners are taunting people for this response by purchasing these weapons, making them look as intimidating as possible and getting off on it. I don't understand that mindset, which is why I don't approve of these types of guns.

I have a so called intimidating dog in my German Shepherd, but I go out of my way to help people feel at ease around her and show people that she is not going to bite their hand off. But even if she does bite someone, that person will still be around tomorrow to talk about it. Seems to be totally opposite with the majority of people who own these military style weapons. They want people as scared as possible for some reason.

So now your rational for banning one of the most popular firearm in the country is you are afraid of it's looks. Just don't look at them Ted. Some people are afraid of tractor trailers ... we should ban them from the roads right. One of these trucks will pass them on the highway and they freak out

The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. No, I'm not afraid of them in the least. What I am concerned about is the mindset of the people behind them. Like the ones who say "just don't look at something if it scares you" or attempt to compare a gun to a tractor. That's not rational thinking and it shouldn't have it's finger on the trigger of a deadly weapon.

Ottway: You don't need all that nonsense, all that chest puff bullshit. What's wrong with being scared?

Diaz: I'm not scared.

Ottway: You're not?

Diaz: No.

Ottway: I'm terrified.

Diaz: I can tell.

Ottway: And not an ounce of shame in saying it. I'm scared shitless.

Diaz: That's because you're a punk. I don't walk through this world with fear in my heart.

Ottway: You pick that up in the pen? Somebody scribble that in the day room wall?

Diaz: You better take it easy, motherf###er.

Ottway: Talking tough means jackshit now. You're not scared? You're a fool. Worse, you're a fu####g liar.

I have an AR=15 and i doubt anyone who has not been shooting with me or asked to see it, has ever seen it. It just an invalid argument Teddy

My AR-15 stays out of sight, locked in a case. I do have two .40 Glocks very handy in the house as well as a Mossberg pump shotgun with a pistol grip and 8 rounds, the first 2 rounds are bird shot. Hopefully that will stun or scare off. After that you get 6 rounds of Magnum 00 buck. Now that is something to fear If you are more scarred of my AR-15 it's because you don't understand weapons

I also have these two which is more scary

Trying to think of when I have seen one up close and personal. Close enough to be scared.

In a gun shop

People I know who have them and have shown them to me.

So what is the problem again?

Why is it an invalid argument that a very large amount of people are intimidated by guns and even more so intimidated by military style weapons? Does their fear and intimidation not exist? When people tell me they are afraid of my German Shepherd, should I just tell them that their fears are invalid and make some wise crack because their fears sound stupid to me? Should I put a spiked collar on my Shepherd for extra shock value and chuckle as the person runs away? Cause that's how most of you hardcore gun enthusiasts come across here. Or should I take the time to explain that my dog is friendly and would not bite unless threatened and allow the person to feel comfortable around my dog.

You should puff your chest about how you're a real man, unlike that skeered p###y, and hit on his wife because you just know she is dying to feel a real man inside her.

Should you be made to put your German Sheppard to sleep because a neighbor who knows nothing about dogs thinks he is scary looking, when the Chow down the street has bitten 4 people

They get off on it. It's sexually exciting to them, the idea of a scared librul screaming like a little girl. I think they might like little girls.

There's definitely a rush of some sort, there's no doubt of that. I've used a limited amount of guns when I was young, I never got anything out of it other than it was fun to knock that can off the stump, I'm bored now.

I do not know of anyone who takes their AR 15 out for a walk.

Subconscious desires? OK put a spiked collar on your dog and be done with it!
