I had Some questions About Visa I-130.

we get married in Egypt From 1 Year Ago .

then Now I want to Be with My wife in u.s

But I want to know is there another way to with my Wife Fast More then I-130

second i hear about visa i-485 And i-131 I dont know which one Better I didnt Send the forms To the Uscis For Now

Please anyone Can Help me. and we will be thankful For your Help.

I-485 is for when the immigrant is living in the US and they are adjusting status.

If you are living in Egypt the only way for you now to immigrate here to be with your wife is a I-130. It taking about 5 months to get approved at USCIS than you have NVC to get through. Unfortunately for you and your embassy the wait from case Complete at NVC until getting a interview is about 185 days . I have people on my list still waiting since October for interview. Sorry.

Sooner you file sooner you will be here.

Dwheels runs the interview thread and takes note of how long it takes from Case complete from the NVC to get an interview date. If she is saying she still has people waiting from October 2013 for their interview dates, then that's likely how long it's taking. Whether you want to hear it or not, that's the way it is.

Also it takes 4-8 months for the I-130 unless both people live abroad, then it may take less time, sometimes. Then 2-4 months for the NVC stage. Then they need to assign an interview date, which for your country is about 6 months (180 days). Then if you are male, you likely have Administrative processing, where they do name checks and background checks. That can take a few weeks to years. It's best to be prepared.

The good news in this scenario is that the visa eventually issued will be the IR1, not CR1, so they'll be finished with USCIS once the immigrant enters the USA and receives their green card.

I'm not trying to break anyones heart but why give false hopes. Not even K1's get 3 to 4 months. Here is the list you decide. I have many waiting too long. You need to prepare yourself.

And like Pushbrk says at least you get a IR1 out of it.
