I'm sitting outside the embassy right now waiting for my husband. He just made it through security and went out of view. Hardly slept last night and waited two hours to get inside the embassy this morning. They refused to let me in- well the guards said yes but the ticket giver refused....waiting anxiously!!!

We got interview letter!!! Interview date August 5, 2014.

Hubby got approved after a three hour wait inside the embassy. He said the lady was very severe but asked a few questions only -- how we met, details about me, etc. She looked at our albums and said he was approved. She did not ask for the 2013 tax info from me nor the joint sponsor. Also didn't need a new BC or police report....basically none of my months of preparing papers for the interview were necessary. My husband will pick up his visa on Tuesday inchallah. Hate to wait some more but a relief to finally be approved! Thanks to dwheels and Saylin for your help in this process!

Yeah, we were pretty upset with it being so late and our CC coming on June 11. So dumb...

I heard it's a random lottery process. But that could be wrong.

I hope not !! I already booked my flight. I am fine with the 15th. I haven't heard anything.

SO incase anyone has noticed,,, I have been a quiet lately... Well.... I will give you the short version...

Last Tuesday I was laid off from my job and I was al little freaked out until my daughter saved the day and said she would sponsor my husband. She filled out an AOS and gave me her transcripts for the last 3 years. We have a copy of her birth cert and SS card. She makes plenty for 2 people. dwheels and saylin gave me excellent advice. I just hope the interview goes well and they accept the new AOS. Our lawyer told me we should be fine. I just hope a copy of her birth cert is enough because she can't find the original.

Has this happened to anyone else? What was the outcome? Any help would be appreciated !!!!!

Oh goodness, LoveMyTico! What a nice daughter you've got! Something good will come soon for you, I hope. I too was laid off a few years ago, and after freaking out I regrouped and sort of created a job for myself. 3 years later was able to sponsor my husband, so like they say, Where there is a will, there is a way. You hang in there, because everything's going to be fine. Just look at the skills you've got and then look at your work and what you can do from another angle. Good luck!

It must've been a grueling three-hour vigil outside the compound for you. Really glad it was well worth it.

My case was completed June 20th and today early in the AM, received e-mail where it told me that my interview date is August 11th. Can't wait! Best of luck to all of you guys waiting!

Have you called NVC to verify you do have case complete? I ask because many here have had their date moved or something happened. I would call and verify just to give you piece of mind.

Did you ever get a Case Complete email from them? Just call and report back what they say.

What is your Case Complete date?

So interview date depends on PD?

Interviews are all about the case complete date. Then PD comes in to play as far as giving dates. I am sure if there are still slots when they get down to your CC date your interview date will be before R60106. You just have to hold on.

It's no hit and miss or lottery. Usually to be considered for the round of interviews they say you need case complete by 15th to 20th to be safe after that its a hit and miss.
