my X rays are on a CD.... They did not require them at POE, they said they're for any future doctors.

Congrats to all the visa approvals so far! (L)

My husbands interview is on Tuesday (June 17) and I am feeling super anxious! No reason for it *not* to go well, but I still worry. :) I helped him get all his papers in order so he doesn't forget anything. The only thing I am slightly concerned about is proof of our relationship. He is just taking a bunch of photos (that contain both of our families and some extended family as well), and my flight itinerary and passport stamps from my last 3 month visit along with my original Romanian Visa card I had while living there (it expired last year). We have been married almost 3 years now and have a daughter together (he is bringing her BC, plus I originally sent it to the USCIS last year for proof of our relationship). Do you guys think that will be enough? We pretty much just talk on Skype every day, and chat on private iPhone apps for couples. Unfortunately hardly any emailing since we got married. I tried taking a screen cap on Skype but it just has his name on it, not mine. The only other thing I can think of is scanning my daughters passport stamps too since she came with me to visit him.

I would say you are golden and husband has all he needs to fly threw. Even if you were going through Lagos or one of the MENA's you have plenty I doubt they ask him any questions but his name and yours.

Congratulations.

Thanks - we'll take the X-rays to the interview. At POE, can the X-rays be placed in the checked baggage, or does she need to have it in her carry-on luggage? The envelope is so big, and it would be hard to keep them flat and unbent in carry-on luggage...

Sukie

How about finding a place that will scan it and put it on CD for you? If you haven't done the X-ray yet, how about finding a lab that is out of the stone age who will provide you with a CD version? I don't think a sanctioned panel physician is a must since the embassy doesn't care for it.

Anyone know how I canLondon baddy to request for an earlier interview date?

Sorry was typing on the phone: does anyone have any contact information regarding the London embassy in regards to requesting for an earlier interview date? Like a phone number or an email and if so, how should the content of the message be laid put?

My husband tried to call them forever and could never get through...but I think this is the contact form for rescheduling: http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.html

I hope this helps, best of luck!

Too late, but a great idea, MoBar65!!! And the X-ray is part of the bundle in Brisbane. I don't think there was an option to go anywhere else!

Glad that the majority got interviews on the 10th and 11th. I guess for future months one possible thing to see if only 2-3 get interviews after the first of the month versus a large group is wait as it means they just haven't gotten to it. (oh NVC, it's as if they intentionally keep changing their ways just to see if we catch on :P )

That big humungous X-ray is like the million dollar mystery. Everyone I know that has POE has been told to bring with but embassy doesn't want it they say have in hand for POE they don't want it.

Like who wants this thing. I guess they just want to see how far we will obey heck if i know.

hmm interesting. My guess about this xray ordeal, though I know little of it, probably is that it's a bureocratic process that sort of aged but hasn't been removed. Like maybe back in the day they actually checked these xrays as it was maybe the only way to control tuberculosis, but now it's not really relevant but the immigration law hasn't been updated to remove it.

PS: Thanks for adding me to the spreadsheet. I was going to fill the little form to add me after I got interview letter but I have been soo busy (which is good, makes time pass fast). :P

Always double check your documents and forms. Not only do you get delayed by RFEs and Checklists, but the time it takes for them to review the new items you send could be used to approve more applications. Save yourself and others valuable time!

Current Status: NVC:
-Assigned and Received NVC Case Number, IIN, and BIN April 18, 2014. (100% sure case # was assigned today because I called twice and it wasn't assigned in the morning when they opened but in the afternoon it was)
*Could not provide email then as case was still being updated in their system
-On April 21, 2014 I was able to provide my email and beneficiary's.
-On April 28 I was able to fill out DS-261
-On April 29 I received and paid AOS Fee (at 1pm)
-On May 1 I received and paid IV Fee (at 1pm [became available]), also AOS Fee shows as PAID
-On May 5 IV Fee shows as PAID and DS-260 became available and was completed. Also, AOS Package Scanned by NVC

-On May 7 IV Package Scanned by NVC

-On May 28 AOS Accepted

-On June 2 IV Accepted/Case Complete

-On June 11 Interview Email Received

-On July 3 Interview at Moscow

Note: Medical Exam scheduled after interview letter received by calling the specific clinic, earliest appointment was 2 weeks ahead)

-Visa approved, came to us, got greencard, sadly things didnt go well and divorced. Last I hears she was still in the US and got a full greencard (I notified USCIS of divorce though)

Cdss

Hi cdss,

we just did biometrics on friday (13th). Hubby's appointment was for 12 noon. we reached the place at 1140am, I stayed in the car while hubby went in. They took his DS260 copy and stamped it, took all 10 fingerprints and 1 digital photograph and he was done! Back in the car by 1155am, we completed everything before his appointment time even came! This was in the Mumbai VAC which is just down the road from the consulate.

Steve, this seems really weird. Our Case Complete was June 4, and our letter came June 11. I'm really surprised you haven't gotten either your CC letter or your interview.

Hi all,

I had my interview in India embassy on 12th June, it went very well but then they put me on AP (without any 221g), just a normal letter was given that your case is under AP. They kept my passport. CO asked me to wait for a minute and then a lady at a different counter ask me to write following information on a paper and said that CO wants this information.

1. Your complete travel history for the last 10-15 years, in chronological order.
2. The full names of any siblings *not* already provided in your initial application.
3. Your residence address history for the last 10-15 years, in chronological order.
4. All prior passport numbers .
5. Current occupation.

Then i was handed over AP letter and $165 fee letter.

From 12th itself the case was having status as 'Ready', 14/15 were Sat and Sun. And today on 16th status changed to 'Administrative Processing' (Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days. Under the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act, Immigrant Visas for "Diversity Visas" cannot be issued after September 30th of the year in which you were selected to apply for a Diversity Visa. For example, entrants into the Diversity Visa Program in Fall of 2011 were selected for Diversity Visa 2012 Program, and selectees MUST apply and receive their visa prior to September 30, 2012 otherwise they lose eligibility to receive a Diversity Immigrant Visa, regardless of additional administrative processing. In addition, please note that some immigrant visas may not be able to be issued if the annual numerical limit for that category has been reached.)

So should i be happy or not? I have seen that this status means visa is being printed and it will change to Issued in a day or two.

Also, i read that if actual AP is going on CEAC status will be shown as 'READY', is it true?

Also, i went though other online forums and found out that getting same information is sometime common and they need to do some security check which will be cleared soon. Worth mentioning here that i have worked in 3 different countries.

I was keeping track of other cases that were interviewed on the same day in same embassy and were under AP, those case statuses are still being shown as 'READY', its me only whose status has changed to 'AP'. All those who were approved on same day, their status was 'AP' on same day evening (similar to mine :) ) and all those were 'ISSUED' the very next day.

Any thoughts???
