Husband called to make his medical appointments today and was surprised to find out that they don't make appointments. Walk-in only.. They told him it doesn't take long at all. They only asked him to bring a photo. They don't need the interview letter either. So Monday he will take a road trip to the city and hopefully get all three done . He is so happy !!! They day he goes to pick up the packet from the embassy, he can get the police cert done.

I told my boss I was taking a week off in July.... I actually got a congratulations from her.... :wow: go figure !!!

I just got the text, that my wife has finished her interview, and "all is well". We won't be able to talk on Skype until she gets back home, but I can't believe our visa journey has reached it's end.

You want to start it all over again and get that feeling back? LOL

Congratulations. That is great news. With all thats going on over there I am glad she will be out of there (no offensive).

So my husband had his interview this morning and he was approved!!! We are so overjoyed!!!

The CO he had was very nice and asked only a few questions. When and where did we meet, what we both do for a living, and why he want to move to the U.S. He was not asked for 2013 transcripts but he offered to submit them anyway. Because I am living with him in Israel, only the Joint Sponsor's 2013 tax transcripts were taken. They did not want or need mine. They gave him back the originals and told him he will receive his passport in a couple of weeks.

I'm so happy to have had the support of VJ throughout this long 15 month process. I wish all of you the very best of luck in your upcoming interviews and afterwards!

Great news. Congratulations.

I am back from El Salvador. My husband had his interview on Monday, he was put in AP because last year I did not make enough money. Here is the situation. I was married until February 2013, filled 2012 taxes with my ex-husband because i was advised by the tax preparer that I should filed together because we were legally married to my ex-husband but we were separated since 2011. when I sent all the documents to NVC I attached the IRS transcripts of year 2011 to 2013. I got married on march 2013 and filed my taxes of 2013-- married filing separately.

During the Interview the first question that the officer asked was “ who is (name of my ex husband)” my husband answered the question and then the officer asked when I got the divorce, and my husband provided the date. The officer said why we got married so fast and my husband explained him that my ex-husband and I were separately since 2011, and the officer said that everything was Ok but that since I did not make enough last year we needed a co-sponsor my husband gave to the officer the updated affidavit of support showing my current annual salary which is 7,700 above the poverty line, but I think the officer had his decision before the interview because my husband told me that the officer had the green paper 221(g) in the file. The officer did not review the documents at that moment and told my husband that he was going to keep the documents and his passport and instructed him in how to collect his passport once we have submitted the documents. The officer told my husband that everything was Ok, he did not ask for evidence, no pictures, no medical insurance, money transfers.

Today we got an email from the embassy and we have been requested to send the form I-864A from my ex-husband, this is so weird.

Is this normal? Any advise will be appreciate. I am not devastated but I am confused because as per my understanding the I-864A is a contract between the sponsor and a Household member which does not apply in my case.

Thank you,

Thank you Dwheels. Yes, i changed the name, sorry I did not updated the form. Yes, I did submit all the documents W2's from my ex husband but I did not include his income in my affidavit of support because it does not make sense to me. They don't specify if they want to see the orignal forms, they are requesting only the I-864A from my Ex husband. have you hear something like this before? why they want my ex-husband to be included in this process? I am sorry I am just trying to get a better picture of my situation.
